I use to think Lebron was the goat, but when I heard about Jordan from my dad and grandpa. I started to watch his game, copy his moves, man I felt like I was watching the god of basketball. It was like poetry in motion, it was like watching a renaissance artist paint a masterpiece.

Haven’t started the video but I already know what’s gonna happen. Skip is gonna make baffled faces the whole time Shannon talks and when it’s skips turn he’s gonna gloss over every positive accolade Lebron has achieved over his career and make the same cheap points he’s made since this show started (Ray Allen, chosen one becoming frozen one) this show is like if Groundhog Day were turned into a sports talk show and it sucks because I actually like both personalities but whoever comes up with the topics needs to be more original

One could say that's his way of rationalizing losing to a guy, once he was past his prime, that the Lakers routinely spanked before they got old. I wonder if Magic would've said the same thing if he'd still had his Prime Time Lakers and Kareem vs Vlade Divac. Bird praised him while simultaneously sweeping him twice. I saw Jordan twice in person playing with the Bulls. He was great but his Legend Greating to be Paul Bunyan Size is getting out of hand! Losing to pistons 3times Losing to only super team he faced Celtics sweep. Losing to Orlando. Paxton hit game winner vs phx in finals Jordan not even in the picture(someone else gets killed 4 that) No Phil Jackson or triangle or scottie pippen developing does Jordan get past Detroit? He had flaws. Magic was posting 23 up and scoring in 91' finals. Pippen comes to save the series and guards Magic full court. Turing the series around. Knicks up 2 - 0 Jordan gambles all night. Goes ..... 3 FOR 18 !!!! Bulls still win! (Someone else would get killed 4 that)

I'm 20 and didn't get to see him but just watching the documentary it makes me see Jordan as even more iconic than I did before. Especially when he was playing golf with Danny Ainge and he told someone to tell Ainge he got something for him. Drops 63 points playoff record after that episode I went and watch that whole game. I don't think I've ever seen a performance like that ever especially in the playoffs.

Imagine a guy his first 2 seasons puts up records of below 500. But still is blessed enough to have made the playoffs despite that loses 3 years in a row in the 1st round.. the goat losing in 1st rd that’s the beginning of the playoffs that doesn’t even sound right your the best ever but you lost in the beginning of the playoffs 3 years in a row GOAT 7 lost series in the playoffs vs 6 finals losses now if I put myself in there position I personally would have preferred to take my team to the highest level before I lose vs getting my team to the first round and losing or losing before I even get to the finals now my season is over early

That 2nd finals against the spurs D Wade nor Chris Bosh were the same player as they used to be. Both were declining in terms of production. Plus that spurs team is an all time great team. Duncan, Kawhi who was on the come up that year, Parker, Ginobili, Danny green, patty mills was a knockdown 3pt shooter and popovich who is an all time great coach. Lebron goat James was trying to carry the whole squad by himself.

What makes his argument worse is that rings mean more in the NBA because one man can have a much more impact on a team then a player in the NFL. One player on a NFL team isn't really enough to help a team go from .500 to a super bowl contender. One player in the NBA can do that. Also Shannon has failed to realize that ever since Lebron went to the Heat he had the easiest path to the finals. His teams was loaded with talent compared to the teams he was facing in the playoffs. One can argue the reason GSW lost is because they got worn down just getting to the finals while the Cavs were resting and sweeping all the teams on their way to the finals.

@@youngnasa8898 I have not even seen the doc but I'm listening to all commentary and its getting pretty ridiculous in the Jordan fan club. I watched every game the man played in the 90's in real time. He was a brand inside of a brand and the NBA protected it. Jordan could not be looked at without a foul being called in his favor. He literally could do no wrong. The refs were basically Bulls. I challenge anyone to go watch those games and honestly refute that. He was a great player. Above his peers at the time but he was never asked to do what lebron James is asked to do and be.

TheSNOTTBALL isn’t that the same thing as lebron. Espn talks about lebron 24/7. He is the brand of nba and espn. It’s ridiculous. Most are sick and tired of hearing lebrons name when even the topic has nothing to do with him 😂

Shannon's insistence on Lebron being the goat not only damages his credibility but it makes you realize if he can be so wrong about MJ, it also makes you wonder what else is he wrong about? I can't say this about Skip too often on a lot of things but on this topic I'm with Skip all the way on this one. MJ is the GOAT and in my opinion there are others who are closer to MJ than Lebron i.e. Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Bill Russell, Kobe Bryant, Wilt Chamberlain. I have not watched one episode of The Last Dance and Lebron can pad his stats for another 3 years and it still would not change my opinion on him one bit. Lebron's resume still could not compare to 6 for 6 Finals Championships and 6 Finals MVP awards. Case closed. I realize that from time to time for the sake of interest, the game of basketball needs this kind of thing, but this case should never have been open for discussion. Lebron is not even runner up in my opinion.

The Last Dance isn't just a reunion party 🎉 for all of us who saw MJ play. It's not only a lifetime achievement award ceremony for him. It's a greater appreciation for all the players who played in that era.
