LBJ is an ALLTIME great NBA icon. Yes he’s a charlatan too and the NBA as a sports and ENTERTAINMENT product/league but in terms of play and ability he’s on NBA Mt Rushmore. He’s a cog in that machine. LBJ is part of a narrative and plot for profit post MJ-era. They tried to make Kobe the Heir-apparent and next goat but he fell for that white girl. LBJ is a multibillion dollar experiment/plot to raise revenue and change the narrative of the best player in order to keep and increase profits. Hence the sports agency while playing. It’s leverage for business affairs on/off court and LeMedia propaganda. Which is smart, calculated as well as conniving. If the goat debate ends with a guy who retired 20+ years ago… there’s a chance intrigue will slip due to the NBA’s best product already being seen. Which is has already. It’s been falling in popularity and views since MJ’s departure. With LBJ retiring soon, we shall see if the rumors become falsehoods or hidden truths in coming years. PEDs, affairs/scandals, celeb beef/drama, media tactics & propaganda etc etc When the money and clout dries up, people who have been waiting to turn on you make their move. Some likely team owners, coaches, officials, players, celebs etc

Lebron is an amazing player BUT he’s media manufactured. It’s hard to take him serious when his hypocrisy and cringe induced moments seep through him, he’s also a very very very very big narcissist (probably even more than Jordan and Kobe), everything they claim he is, he isn’t. Also whenever people try to defend Lebron they never defend his basketball skills, they defend Lebron the man which we don’t care about. He’s a basketball player and that is exactly how we judge him, people love to bring up “he’s a family man” “he’s a businessman” because they have no rebuttal to any of his bball flaws

Definitely not the GOAT. Lebron only takes on issues that are easy. Look at how he handled the China situation. I’m tired of praising a man acting like he’s perfect. He’s a great man no major controversies to speak of whatsoever. I would never speak down on that. It’s when we’re not allowed to criticize him like every other NbA great, his media manipulations , and his sycophantic fans jump on you when you give valid criticism from any direction. Great player but not the best of all time . Simple as that. Definitely a great man too. It’s just the dichotomy that comes with him can’t talk about good and have fair honest conversations on misgivings are fair. Like manipulating the media to spin his narrative, trading players etc.
