2013 Indiana Pacers, 2011 Bulls, '11 and '12 Celtics. I think all of those teams had a fairly good chance to hoist the O'Brien if it wasn't for LeBron.

Besides 07, LeBron had 2-3 future hofs (Allen, Wade, Bosh) and a great bench on the Heat and 2 top 5 all stars in their position (Kyrie & Love) with a good bench on the Cavs during this 7 year streak to the finals. The east is weak. And him just having a loaded team just makes it even worse. Most teams that make it in the playoffs in the east won't even be there in the west.

Robin Deku that's because the Cavs chose to rebuild after he left, they traded Delonte, fired Mike Brown, let others walk, and Varejao got hurt. They were still a lottery team but Lebron wasn't the only change just most important. Same thing when he left the Heat, Wade and Bosh missed most of the season and they missed the playoffs. It ain't always about Lebron like y'all want it to be.

KG(34), Duncan(36), Manu(34), Pierce(33), Allen(35) all past prime, Durant, Westbrook and Harden all known chokers lacking fundamentals, Joe Johnson, Prince, Rondo, Rose, Wallance arent HoF players, he played with Wade. So Parker, Curry and Billups are the only 3 HoF players he beat in their prime yet 2 of their teams were past their prime. Wall and DeRozan might be borderline. Literally he's faced no one the best team in the League the Warriors are winning 65-73 games because of lack of parity and talent in the league some teams best players would be 3rd and 4th options in the 90's...

The East IS down. When Isaiah Thomas is in the conversation of being the 2nd best player in the conference, there is a huge problem. Cleveland has essentially swept two "number one" seed in two of the last three years. We all know that Atlanta and Boston weren't championship contenders.

1. It's questionable if the current Cavs team would make it out the second round of this year's playoffs - if they were in the WC 2. Let's not pretend as if Bron hasn't been playing on stacked teams for the past 7 years. Swap IT and LJ from between Celtics and Cavs and see who'd be in the finals now. Better yet, put Bron on the Knicks and see how spectacular the results would be.

Durant went to GS because both him and the entire Dubs knew that was the only chance they have of sniffing a title. They know that KI is only gone to get better and that KL would eventually get comfortable. Plus coach Lue is only going to get better the longer he coaches the Cavs with LeBron being on the court coach.

There's no other player in the East that is close do Lebron. The closest one is his teammate Kyrie (Giannis is too young yet, PG, Wall and Butler are good, but not that good, especially against Harden, Westbrook, Durant, Kawhi, Anthony Davis and other greats out West). That's the difference. If he goes out of the East, no team from that conference would have a shot against the West in the NBA Finals.

LeBron said he's "stressed" about Golden State. He's playing mind games. He knows already he has a championship for his city. He has next to no pressure, and Durant crumbles against him. The warriors know that if they lose this, EVERYONE will call them the biggest chokers, and we've seen them with tremendous pressure, it isn't pretty. Heck without their bench last year, Cleveland would've taken game one, and probably beat them in 5 or 6. That bench, oh yeah, ITS GONE! Not to mention Kevin love is playing his best ball in 4 years. Call me crazy, but Cleveland in 6.

I just don't understand the Lebron hate...Growing up, I didn't hate Jordan because he always was putting my team out of the playoffs... I respected his greatness, Colin over talking Lebron balances out the waves of hate that is inundated on him. Lebron looked like NBA caliber in the 11th grade. That he is living up to and surpassing this expectation should be praised not bashed. Has anyone considered for a moment why more stars want to play in the west? Has nothing to do with wanting to be in a better conference and more to do with it being more open as far as making it to the finals. This Lebron run shows that if you go to a team in the East and you are not on Lebron's team, you aren't going to see a championship.

I have to disagree with Richard Jefferson. His record isn't impossible to break if Lebron is able to do it. One day someone will come along and be so damn dominant they will shatter every record in the books, and the whole Jordan comparison won't even be a conversation anymore. MJ had a much more difficult Eastern Conference. I don't know who Cowdung is trying to fool. The Bulls had to battle with blood, sweat and tears some of the most talented teams in the history of basketball. Nobody can say that about the Eastern Conference today. It is not even close. LeBron's career has been a cakewalk.

The East has been weak, really for the last 3-4 years.. the last truly 'great' team that Bron has faced out of the conference were the 2014 Pacers, when the Heat were trying to three-peat and it was a 2 horse race in the East, but even those Pacers crumbled and were too mentally weak/offensively inconsistent to truly derail them... The Hawks were a nice story when they went undefeated for an entire month and had 4-5 players named player of the month for the first time in history...but then they were still made to look vulnerable by the Nets & the Wizards in the 1st and 2nd rounds, and you sorta understand that they were a worse team than their 60 win record would indicate. The truth is, ever since the D Rose injury in 2012 and the Celtics getting old at the same time, no other teams in the East have even come close to having a somewhat legitimate case at vying for a championship and derailing Lebron. It's really a bit of both, as back then, Lebron was still trying to get to the mountaintop. Now he's there, and better than ever.
