The Los Angeles Lakers came up short in the NBA playoffs again after a 4-1 series loss to the Denver Nuggets and all eyes are on LeBron James' future (besides the actual playoffs) in the purple and gold. When asked about his future and retirement discussions, the King responded by saying quote: "When I know .. then you guys will know." The bubble not counting is the most brain dead take in all of sports history. If anything the next year was the joke championship because that year was shortened as well and there was a bigger discrepancy in the rest teams got during the offseason then ever before. No home court in the bubble. Everyone got months of rest too though the Lakers actually didnt need it as they were perfectly healthy that spring and CLEARLY the best team in the NBA. So when I see the bubble didnt count what I really read is " Im a dumb sheep who follows along with what other people think and Im also insecure and show it by hating on people like Lebron who seem to have no weakness."

The bubble title will always have an asterisk. When you play a whole regular season your more banged up by the time the playoffs come around. The lakers had time to rest which helped them win. That team out of all teams benefited from the long break the most because they are always hurt(especially AD). That is why they never won a chip with no bubble because they have to play a whole season.
