As a big time Celtics fan I oddly don't really remember this game at all and had no idea we were the Big 3 Heat's first game ever. But you can tell right away the major chemistry difference between these two teams. Boston had already been too two NBA finals at this point so they already knew how to play with each other. This Heat team was their very first regular season game, very fun highlights thanks for posting this!! Ray Allen's shot was so smooth, and Rondo orchestrating the offense with 17 assists was beautiful. Also gotta give props to Pierce in his 13th season still looked like the same reliable all-star Pierce!

@freshone274
@freshone274 9 месяцев назад
And the fact that this was their first game against a well oiled machine and they lost by 6 points means so much. That’s why the heat always eliminated them in the playoffs. The talent level between the two teams was very unbalanced. If this would of been 20 games in, Miami wouldn’t have loss. And even though it was a loss, they held them to 86 points which is a big deal.

Cmon bro. That’s revisionist history. That heat team had 3 top 10 players. Wade was a runner up MVP (and arguably should’ve won it) in 09. Heat were the FAVORITES to win. The Mavs second best player was Jason Terry. No way they should’ve lost. LeBron choked in that series and there’s no way around it. He scored 8 pts in one game. He was already a 2x mvp by that point. Inexcusable.

@@IsoGang13 terrible take. “People like you in the media who pressure him are what brings him down” - man what does that even mean? The media praises him when he wins. The media votes for MVP - which he has 4 of. The reason everyone was upset at “The Decision” is because Miami stacked the deck. They were expected to win. “Not 1. Not 2. Not 3. Not 4. Not 5. Not 6. Not 7” those were LeBron’s own words, he put the pressure on himself. Miami should have 1000% won their first year. The older, less talented, big 3 in Boston did. The stacked warriors did. The big 3 nets failed because they barely played together, so that’s not a great comparison.
@IsoGang13
@IsoGang13 10 месяцев назад
@@karimgreen8732 You still avoid my first point, everybody has failure. Superstars say so themselves. Sometimes things don't go the way they want them to. But what I love about LeBron is that he could've stayed with Miami, but he came back to Cleveland to get the job done. Even in podcasts and interviews, LeBron stated that he came to Miami for the push to evolve himself as a player. Otherwise, he woulda just been the kid from Cleveland going to the finals every year and getting destroyed by superteams. He still won 2/4 with the Heat, so in my opinion that's still a good run. Other than that, the Spurs were still a good team. And the Celtics may have been old but they had the chemistry as KG and Paul Pierce had the more experienced bond of LeBron and D Wade.
