Hii....Today our topic is traveling salesman problem. In this video we are going to solve an example related to TSP in operation Research.
The Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) is a problem in combinatorial optimization studied in operations research and theoretical computer science. Given a list of cities and their pair wise distances, the task is to find a shortest possible tour that visits each city exactly once.
Two conditions of TSP is a salesman visit each city once. No city can be visit twice and visit to city i to i is not permitted.

In the step after the columns reduction matrix, we are drawing two horizontal lines & two vertical lines. Why can't we draw 4 horizontal lines, even that is covering all zeros. If horizontal rows are covered, in the next step, we will not be able to find the matrix based on uncovered elements. Could u please explain how to find a solution for this Mam?

There is no problem any way you can draw the lines but keep in mind that all zeros should be covered. This will not affect the cost. The cost will be the same.

We will create the modified matrix with the help of these lines and after that we will create the assignment by selecting the minimum element and repeating this procedure till we get the optimal solution to the traveling salesman problem.

maam i have a doubt please clear kr dijiye apne colum deduction ke bad jo zero ko vertically amd horizontally cut kiaa wo samajh ni aya… row me 2 zero tha to jada 2 zero rehta hai usko skip karte hai na or 1 zero ko cut krte hai… apne row column dono k kesee cut kia samajh ni aya.. apne marji se kuch b le sakte hai kyaa kuch b cut kar skte h kya ? bas zero ko jesee b kahin se b cut krna hai ?
