Just so you know since I notice you didn't catch it but protect my peace is actually about a strap(gun). "I keep my peace under my belt" just thought you should know I had the same assumption about it being a bout peace to the literal meaning until I watched a reaction on the album.
The entire song isn’t about a gun just the one line referring to the “piece” under the belt. It’s a play on words. The overall song is about protecting his actual peace.
Can someone tell me what crae meant by this line, im unsure what he means, andit seems a bit sketchy"Sometimes we Caesar, sometimes we Jesus and we might get crucified"
Here is the full context. “Some of us trust in the law and some don't Some law enforcement will save you from evil You call 'em and then again some of 'em won't (Woo) Sometimes we cheaters to get our cheese up and take your piece of the pie Sometimes we Caesar, sometimes we Jesus and we might get crucified.” I believe he’s just point out all the difference things we can be in this world. A lot of these things are opposites. Sometimes we’re in the wrong like Caesar and other times we are Christ-like but still may have a cross to bare. That’s how I interpret it. I’m wondering why you think it seems sketchy?
@@MitchDarrell OK, that's making a bit more sense, I just wanted to make sure he wasn't claiming to be Christ, I was pretty sure it was analogy, but i just wanted to be sure. Thanks for the response brotha!
Just finished listening to the album then saw your reaction for 55 minutes? I said no way I'll just give you 15 minutes, end up listening to the end, love your style, u get a sub
@@MitchDarrell and I had just returned from church vigil so my eyes were heavy when I got to bed before listening to your reaction, man to push sleep back for almost an hour was demanding
Dirt is my favorite one on the album 😭 An anthem to all the influencable black children out there to get out of the gangsta life style and GET INTO JESUS!! AMEN
Idk why… “we did it” just does something to me… growing up in poverty/hood it’s like one of them anthems that you been through the dirt and came up out alive and you finally made it!
