My biological father left me and my mom when i was born but my real father is up in the heavens and he leads me through every moment of my life.

I was raised Christian and I currently am beginning to believe in God again, because I stopped for awhile and now I am asking for some prayers and advice please this was a song I listened to in recovery, im 14 and now I'm clean from self harm and I know this is long but please can people pray for me to jave a closer relationship to God thanks so much

I also grew up miseducated; even though my mom dictated me to the Lord at birth. When Christ called me and his salvation saved me through his blood my life changed forever. I walked with Lord. Through the ups and downs. He’s always been faithful. All we need to do is be patient and wait on his spirit. This is very difficult to do when you’re in pain physically and mentally. But through trials and tribulations God build us up and gives us new armor and character with a renewed mind. It is said in the word God loves those who he disciplines. So when we face trials and tribulations. Know that God is working on us to become better men and women. He won’t allow Satan to devour us; similar to the book of Job. May the blood of our savior Christ Jesus cover and purify our sins. May his Holy Spirit guide and protect us. In the name of Jesus. Amen. 🙏🏻

I always listened to this song when I was younger and never understood the lyrics. Just loved the song. Now I’m older, the message hits home. This is one of the most powerful songs ever.

Every single person who hates on lecrae only does so because they don't understand hip hop culture, and since they don't they are afraid of it regardless of what he does. He could sell all his possessions and give the money to the poor and live the rest of his life on the street preaching, and they couldn't accept him because of what he used to be. Those hypocritical christians make me sick. Please pray for all those people. It'll only take a few seconds, and it could change someones life. Ha .... I'm always humbled when I listen to Lecrae's lyrics, and watch his videos. I've listened and loved him as an artist for many years. I'm mow an almost 43 year old white female, and the power of the message he's conveying is just as strong, if not stronger than it was in my early 30s, and maybe younger. God loves us all as one, the human race. My heart has been broken from when I was just a small child from the Deep South and witnessed great division. As a little girl, I had to walk away from the heartbreaking words that people would say about anyone of a different color. I would even have to quietly leave the house sometimes, because certain family members were among those who spoke of what God told me was wrong in my Spirit, racism. Over the years, I became stronger in educating the elders in my family, and others around me. I'm thankful that so many family and friends have learned to overcome their bias of different ethnicities. I don't believe that just one person can change the ignorance of every one in the world, , but I have seen that properly educating one person, can, and has led to properly educating others. I'm still, and will likely always be still learning and being educated on all of these matters as well. I've tried so very hard over the past couple of decades to teach my children correctly. I never had to command them to know how awful racism and bigotry can be. It's always been through open and honest conversation, and more importantly, leading by example. Okay, I'm rereading this and realize it has the potential for me to come across as "the knower of all racial division". Please know that is not the way I feel, nor how I want to come across TO ANYONE. I just believe it takes us to individually speak about what IS RIGHT, and pass the knowledge of love to others. Myself, and everyone else, are responsible for educating ourselves as to where each individual may be coming from. I'm confident that unnecessary fear and hatred can subside, if we could jut learn to listen and hear where each person is coming from.

My dad got kicked out of his house by his dad when he was 15 and got sent to America all by him self. My mom the same. My point is thank God for letting my dad find a pastor to lead him like a dad and, thank God my mom found dad for she could be Christian. Was addicted to drugs and alcohol ruined my marriage wanted to die but while in the hospital God put me in a room with a girl named "Hope" She prayed for me and showed me Gods love. I tattooed her name on me. I'm clean now, free and so blessed. My kids look up to me and pure goodness fills my life. God sent me to your music during rehab and man it helped. Thank you.

Loving christ is giving my life a new meaning, everything just seems lovely and different.

I've been saved recently but am still struggling with some very heavy stuff with my children's mother battle with alcoholism and all the terrible outcomes that come with that life. I'm a recovering addict but am still so beaten down from my past that I feel like I'm too far gone. I know its not true but that's my everyday state of mind. I just need prayers for my children, Ryder age 6 and Blakely age 5. They are the sweetest things on this planet and they are not in a healthy environment. I feel powerless and much of the time hopeless. They are the only reason I still have a desire to be alive as I am the only positive role model and influence in their lives (as well as my Mom and step dad whom I'm so grateful for). This daily pain is so great that I'm utterly consumed from the inside out and am filled with miserable emptiness. Ever since stupid Coronavirus shut down church and AA meetings I've slid into worsening depression of panic and inevitable doom. I say I'm saved but I really mean that I'm a follower and worshipper of Jesus. I feel anguish not salvation. I just try to block the endless urge to quit. God bless you all and all I pray for is to be freed of this feeling and be blessed with serenity and peace and joy and happiness so many of you seem to be enjoying. I'm very glad you all get to experience that. I just want a month at the very least to feel that-a life time just seems impossible as I've been pursuing this for 20 years with constant relapses etc. I'm working a program of 12 steps and have a pretty solid relationship with God, and luckily my kids love jesus and enjoy praying and bragging to me about "random acts of kindness and compassion, forgiveness, and helling others." I've done that part of parenting very well I must say.

The most powerful message I get from Lecrae's music is to be who you want to be, while being who you need to be. Don't refrain from spreading the Good News out of fear of judgment. Be the one whatever you are (athlete, musician, writer, broker, son, brother, friend) that sets a positive example for those around you. If others in your circle don't accept you for speaking from your heart, pray they have a change of heart, and then move on.. if you reach out to just one person and teach them to love and forgive, what more can you ask for?
