Well, I think now I have seen all your videos (some twice). They are so well done and informative and I appreciate your enthusiasm. Thanks to your videos, we ordered two Lectric XP step-thru bikes and they came today. Will be ordering some accessories you have reviewed. Thanks for all your hard work!
My husband and I decided we’d get an electric bike. Now to figure out what or which one. We want to go off road, ride on beach & city riding. Now any suggestions on what will be best. Thanks & great videos.😎🇺🇸
Hi Jeremiah, Thank you for doing such a great accessory video. I got practically all of your accessories except the RockPros bike rack bag; I purchased another brand of bag that also has the expandable bag in the to, and the drop panniers on the sides. I also have spoke reflectors on both of my tires, because although I have the rim reflectors, I’m a bit nervous about putting them on. They are still in the package. 😊. Again, thank you for such great accessories review.
Thanks for the locking tips and accessory roundup with all the links. I had not thought about covering up the bike name, but that is a good security idea. The stealth location of the battery helps disguise the electric nature of the bike then they plaster "Lectric" on the sides, and the Tires now. I will not receive mine for a bit, is the "Lectric" painted on or a vinyl decal that can be removed? If it is painted maybe I can find a white reflective tape to cover it with and some black paint for the Tires. I really like the disc alarm in your links. Would the "reminder cable" be able to be looped through the seat and be able to lock to the rear rotor? The cable can be easily cut but using this alarm would help with an easy opportunity seat theft. I am thinking one or two disc alarms and the chain should be a reasonable deterrent for short stops.
Jeremiah: Enjoying your videos very much. I appreciate all you contribute. I'm due to receive my bike towards the end of this month, and have been purchasing some accessories. I'm wondering if you can tell me the most common Allen wrench sizes, as well as bolt sizes, as I'm looking to purchase an "all-in-one" style wrench set to keep on the bike. A number of them have a series of Allen wrench keys and then some sockets, but kind of pointless if they don't fit the bike. Could you give a list of the most common sizes of both Allen wrenches and sockets needed for maintenance?
Thx for this vid I’ve been saving up for so long to buy this bike (I’m only 13 and don’t have a job other than mowing lawns) hopefully by next week I will be able to sell my dirt bike and have enough money to buy one of these and all of your upgrades
Jeremiah, I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS, they are so informative, Keep them coming, you really sold me on Lectric Xp e-bike. Btw, I just purchased my first e-bike last the weekend and will probably get it sometime in the end of July. I ordered the XP Step-Thru 2.0, this model comes with 3 inch tires. My question to you is, do you know of any puncture proof tire like Kenda tires that are 3 inches wide? What do you recommend. Again, thanks for all your videos.!
There is one item I saw on another RU-vid video that looks awesome is a small rechargeable electric pump with an USB out so it can double as a portable phone charger. It would fit nicely in your front storage bag. Sorry no details as I'm still trying to find the place I saw it.
Happy New Year to you! I did receive my Lectric XP ebike and I am really enjoying it. It is all your videos depicted it to be. Could you please tell me which brake pads you use for the original brakes on your black bike? There are a lot of pads to choose from on your link to Amazon and I think I would prefer the pads closest to the original pads but don’t know which ones that would be. By the way the new handle bar and fold in half latches are great, easy to use and I really like them. Also for you and your viewers information I am able to place the folded bike on the rear seat of my 2020 Toyota Corolla.
Awesome I’m glad you’re enjoying the new bike. If you just got it you probably won’t need to buy brake pads for a while because the original ones do last for sometime. If you want the exact pads they are Tektro a10.11 but have been hard to find on Amazon they are ceramic metallic pads. You have to be careful on some listings because a lot of places look like they’re trying to sell the organic E 10.11’s as ceramic.
Your video are very helpful I just bought a RKS e.bike simalour to the Lectrec xp as ive had a Carrera Crossfire e.bike for 3, years, time for an upgrade
Jeremiah, thanks for the great videos on the Lectric XP. I will be posting my experiences and sharing my bike addon's from an older perspective, 65 plus community. I will be also be posting on Rumble as these bikes are for living the free life. RU-vid will be blocking any content from anyone they feel doesn't hold to the Left agenda. I am one of them and love this great country. Keep up the good work. Keith
Love your vids. You do a great job in your diy vids. I have one ?. You show 2 different free wheels in your list. Could you explain what the difference would be. Thanks
11-28 is the one I installed and love it. If you have very steep hills the 11-34 is better for hills. If you don’t have a problem going up hills now with the current freewheel then the 11-28 would be fine for you.
Thanks for your video, I wonder if you bought the B-Soul saddlebag for the cel phone in blue outline or you painted it that way? It appears they only come in neon green and red now.
@@JeremiahMcintosh How unfortunate they don't have that color anymore, it looks so bad ass. If you know where I can get that color it would be really appreciated. Thanks for the videos bro.
Hi Jeremiah, my boyfriend and I want to take our bikes with us on vacation and we are flying. Can you recommend a hard case that we could put them in so we can check them on the airplane?
Hi Jeremiah. My wife and I just ordered Two step through Lectric XP 2.0. Can you tell me what size suspension seat post we should order to change from the stock? I see from a few videos they are saying a couple of different sizes. Maybe that is because there is a difference between the original XP and the new XP 2.0.
Congrats on your new Bikes…your gonna love them. If you check down in the description of the video there are links to the post that you will need with the correct diameter. The diameter on the 1.0 and 2.0 are the same at 31.6 mm. The difference that people are talking about is probably with the factory Lectric suspension seat post one is longer than the other and I made a video describing the difference if you’re interested in checking that one out as well. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TOJIvr_kGDQ.html If you do decide use the links in the description it also helps support my channel. Hope this helps and If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
@@JeremiahMcintosh Jeremiah I want to thank you for your quick response. We are excited and now I have to go back through your videos. You put out a lot of great info which is much appreciated.
Xp step through would be good for 5’4 and 5’7 and might be ok for 6’5 but I would get one first and try it before buying a second because the 6’5” guy might want something bigger.
Man that would be your call on the type of bike you like and might be just fine on the Lectric that’s why I would try it first. Or are you trying to narrow it down to only buy one bike?
Oh ok I gotcha. Wasn’t sure if you were trying to buy bikes for each of you or just one bike to share between all of you. In that case if you just we’re going to buy one bike I would say the Lectric 2.0 step through is a great option in my opinion because it has one of the lowest seat heights and is very accessible and taller riders can ride it as well. Check out the video I did with my stepdad that’s 6’6” 280 pounds showed him riding it.
Check out this video I made here it might help you a little bit. Depending on the size of the hill and how long it is you may have to help it. I am 165 pounds.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7EmfhhDKEQg.html
Need your assistance with A New Seat and Seat-Post for my Lectric Black Step-Thru XP 2.0, is it advisable to buy Off-Band accessories, or Lectric Brand, my Bike is scheduled to arrive Thursday the 16th of September, so I will have the STOCK seat & Post to experience. I have heard difficult Comfort with the Stock Seat & Seat-Post on long rides.
Personally I think the Cloud 9 seat and zoom suspension seatpost are better than the Lectric aftermarket ones. But make sure you get the correct cloud 9 because they have many different versions. There is a link to the one I use in the description of my videos.
We have the same two bikes but they are the 2.0 models. You mentioned the seat posts are different sizes. So, is the 31.6 for your bike or the step through ? What is the size for the other bike?
They are both 31.6 diameter even on the new models the difference is the length of the factory posts. The step through seat post is shorter you can check out the video I made comparing the differences.
I think I found it. "Let's talk about Lectric XP suspension seatpost's and ...". Hopefully the same measurements apply to the 2.0 model since I believe you have the original model.
@@JeremiahMcintosh Thanks, I suppose I could just take the stems out and measure too. I had ordered the Comfort packages from Lectric but a month later they still haven't shipped. So, I thought about getting what you recommend and canceling the Lectric order. I am looking for a step thru and an XP. I see the amazon pages don't really give a an option on seat tube length.
I got my bike a couple weeks ago. While i was waiting on it i binged your videos and i was ready for it as if I'd ridden it a thousand times thanks to you. I've used as many of your affiliate links as i can. I hope it helps you even a fraction of the amount that you've helped me. :)
Jeramiah, thank you so much for your efforts on these videos. We are getting electric bikes to take with us camping and I made a spread sheet with the different bikes and components. I'm only 5' tall and Lectric step thru was #1 on my list. Then I ran across your videos. You are so informative and have an ease in front of the camera. That's important, because I have turned others off because of their slow talking ways. 3 days ago I ordered my Lectric bike. And thanks to your wife, I have the handlebars in my wish list because of back problems. (Sold out now.) I showed my husband about 6 of your videos. He thinks a 20" is too short for him (he's only 5'11") and is searching for a 26" folding bike. I'm hoping mine comes in about 2 weeks so he can try it and see how it works for him. He laughed at your father in law riding with that tall seat and said it's too top heavy. Yes, but it fit! Husband will be 70 this year and I told him he will feel a 26" will be top heavy with him on it. Lower center of gravity helps at his age! lol Anyway, thank you for helping with my decision! Your videos are great!
Thank you very much Karen I’m glad to be able to help with your decision. I think your husbands going to be surprised how big the bike actually is when you get it and I’m sure it would fit him just fine with him being 5’ 11”. If I were him I would probably get the step through because of the lower center of gravity and longer leg extension also being able to swap the batteries between the two bikes if they are the same.
I realize that this is 2 yrs old, but hoping that you see and respond. I am getting ready to order a lectric 3.0 for my birthday tomorrow. I am 5', as well. I was looking at their new premium model, which has hydraulic brakes and a 4" tire, but it says that it is for 5' 2" so I will probably stick with the 3.0 which works for our height. I am wondering how you like your bike. I dislike purchasing a big item on line without being able to sit on it and test ride it. Thanks.
there is only one problem with locking both of your bikes up with that chain lock. a would be thief would be thinking if i break into this lock ill have 2 bikes not 1.
I respect the Lock Picking Lawyer’s opinion on locks, but I disagree with him on bike locks. It's more common that professional bike thieves will carry a battery-powered angle grinder and can cut that chain lock in about 15 seconds. I've seen it in a video. For the Kryptonite or Abus U-locks, it takes 30 seconds to cut through those because it requires 2 separate cuts to get the bike free. The only safe way to deal with bike theft while you are away is by paying for insurance because bike theft is inevitable.
Yes that is a good point and you are right they can be cut with a grinder so I would still watch where you lock your bikes up and how long you leave them!
@@abrakadabrah3031 Yep, try Googling for it to find options. For me in my area, I get Velosurance, and for my e-bike, if I recall correctly, it would be somewhere between $12- $20 USD per month to insure depending one how many accessories I add to the bike. It's also cheaper to insure for bike theft the farther North, in the colder regions, that you live because they assume that you are less likely to ride in the Winter time, thereby making you less of a risk.
Thank you Jeremiah. I just purchased my bike in part due to your very thorough and informative reviews. I also appreciate your how to videos which will come in handy when minor fixes and adjustments need to be made. Keep up the good work!
I too have been watching your videos and have purchased some of the many accessories based on your review and knowing it will fit our new Lectric step thru bikes the wife and I now have. Just got them a couple months ago now... thanks
You’re videos for the Lectric are fantastic. You have a very nice, easy going personality and explain very well. I ordered 2 Lectric bikes because of your reviews.
Hi! I'm waiting on my Lectric Trike! I subscribed to your Channel; and am just, now, watching this. Before I purchase this because my Trike is RED ... is there a difference between the red and black one (Tchipie Motorcycle Alarm Disc Brake Lock, Theft Prevention Motorbike Security Wheel Disk Lock for 7mm Brake Rotor with 110db Alarm Sound…)? Is the black one a better one, for security? TIA!
On the model XP behind the seat post there is a hallow space, its perfect to fit the bigJawbone jambox speaker, it's the only model I tested, it fits very snuggly and the music comes out load, on the road nobody knows where the music is coming from.
I learned so much from you while waiting on my ST to arrive. Thanks for your incredibly helpful vids. I absolutely love my hafny end bar mirror. Small footprint and out of the way even on the short factory handlebars, but really handy to see approaching vehicles. Any suggestion for a bright rechargeable motorcycle headlight for the bike?
I have a rechargeable light that I use that I show an example of in my previous accessories video if you would like to check it out. Also you can get some rechargeable flashlights that can mount to the handlebars.
How about a headlight upgrade? I just installed one that runs up to 60 volts and comes with a halo running light and low, high and strobe light.Hope Jeremiah can show video of install because he is very good at describing them.Love your videos , have bought many of the accessories through his links, keep up the great work!!!
Jeremiah , I live near you and do the same routes that you take( Grandville .Coal Center). My name is Don and am interest in a bike for my girlfriend 'I like the step through Euphree in white I'd like to talk to you if possible
I hate how all these accessory manufacturers print their name so big on all the products. I don't want my bike to say B-Soul or C9 or Rockbros all over it
Yea, the only downside for tricking out a cheap ebike is if you have to replace components. Luckily, the only thing here that you replaced was the seat.
See more information or Purchase your Lectric Ebike or Trike here (This is an affiliate link and does help support this channel) lectricebikes.sjv.io/g1OLJB
I dont understand why people always buy the step thrus for their wifes and daughters? the frame seems to sturdier all the way around for men and women and folds down better
We just got two Lectric XP step throughs and really appreciate your great list of accessories! We'll definitely be checking some of those out. We will be back to watch more of your videos; Danny and Lynn
Bike has increased in price!!! By the time on invest in all the Necessary extras You're spending Around $2000 ...sometimes looking at a better bike with the racks... May be less money!!! I think this company is getting you hooked... With marketing the bike at $1000 bucks... There's other bikes for less.. But you're paying for the folding mechanism.
Nowhere close to $2,000 with all these accessories. Most of these accessories such as locks, bags, lights, most people would buy regardless of the brand you choose. Also the price increased when they came out with the new model with front suspension
I got the rim tape, the front bag, the horn alarm, the portable charger, and the kryptonite lock because of you. It's so cool now I dont even want to ride it. Even put a stereo on it thanks to the extension bar. Thanks a million for your videos
Anyone know how to adjust or order a seat for a short person (5’2). The specs say it’s for 4’10” and above but my feet can’t touch the ground when the seat is in the lowest setting
Hey Jeremiah. I've ordered a cloud 9 seat now. We ordered two step through bikes last week. I like some of your accessories. I'll continue buying from this page. 2nd purchase now today. My wife will need the handle bars and we will get the horn alarm and the rack bag. Thanks for your great videos.
No problem Glenn I’m glad you find my videos helpful! If you haven’t already seen it check out my first original accessory video as well it shows a lot of different accessories.
I am waiting for my Lectric Xp 3.0 but I wanted to ask you about the rims that you have on you and your wife's bike, when did you change them to 20 x 4.0 rims?
I appreciate your enthusiasm level for your bikes. They are well-cared for! Would you mind sharing how many mikes that you've put on each bike? Thank you!
I am the 13th to see it and actually brought the xp lectric step thru from Jeremiah's videos too. He does great videos. I have two other ebikes and this one seems to be the sturdiest and the fastest. Really good purchase. I like this one the best. I have the ancheer mountain bike and the etronic but this one is the best. I have done over 35 miles on one charge and still had battery left. I did the ride over several days.....without having to charge each time....
I’m not sure if it would be big enough to go around the frame or not. If so it should work well however anything can be cut with a grinder but the bigger it is the longer it takes.
Hey J your not adding to much accessories you just go all in went you do something, keep on trucking dude people just hate, We share the same attitude about our toys.
I got my XP about six weeks ago,Absolutely love it! Two problems so far though, I got a flat my front and could not find an innertube anywhere in my area right outside Philadelphia she’s been been out for several months .Finally found one spot on the Internet and I bought 5 of them.Folding his bike I’m carrying it up to my second-floor apartment is way too awkward, I’m thinking of buying a hiost to bring up on the side of my porch.Wondering if I should left it by the handle or don’t fold it and attach cable to front, middle and back.Trying to make it easy To reach 2nd floor.
I have A link for the tubes on amazon listed in the description of every one of my videos. I would leave the bike together and walk it up the steps it’s easier to carry while it is open.
hi a few dumb questions, its hard to figure out which back fender will hold a 2nd battery, i looked at some sites and google it, no answer. I cant get questions answered from lectric, is there a solar panel that could otherwise charge your battery as you ride. I live in a desert state, rural area. thank you, mike
The stock seat post will probably get you the lowest with no suspension. If you add a suspension post it adds a few inches. What do you mean 30 inches total height from the ground up?
Jeremiah, I recently purchased 2 XP bikes, one for me and one for my wife. Just want to thank you for all your videos, they are super helpful in doing the modifications.
Do you have any recommendation for handlebar grips for the Lectric bike or for a Magicycle or the equivalent? I did like the Magicycle‘s handlebar grips however, they were a pain to get off after I installed hydraulic brakes on it. I’m looking to put replacements on it. Thought you might have come across some that you would recommend, if not no worries. Thanks
