I'd go a little further and say it was never speed wobble. it was frame wobble that felt the same as what you get with speed wobbles but it never had anything to do with speed. it had to do with having the previously included baskets attached and riding over any kind of bump. the wiggle caused by frame flex would oscillate so much that you had to stop or risk crashing. this occurred way more on the step thru than the step over. the step over with no rear weight from the basket will ride without noticeable wobble. as demonstrated. but yea, lectric isn't going to admit a design flaw and the step over is rideable if you don't mind hitting your feet with your front fender. but stay away from the step thru. that bike is dangerous.
