The best thing about driving an EV is the quietness and effortless driving. I have gas pick up truck, but love driving my wife’s Model Y more than my gas truck. Especially on my day off. 🛻⛽️💸
@GetSocialButterfly Get yourself a SEV. I sold my duramax and bought the SEV RST and I am enjoying driving the pick up truck and my wife is happy because I no longer borrow her Lyriq so I could enjoy the quietness and effortless driving while around. BTW the boat I tow with the SEV takes less effort to tow.
@@kelviskelvis7140 i’ve been looking at this truck for a while. That truck is awesome. Congratulations, in my opinion is the best truck on the market right now.😁👍🏻
Sir, in your video you did not say that you were able to charge at the Roosevelt Field location for Tesla. I too have the Lyric and attempted to charge at the very same terminal you were at with no success and I believe that was because that location does not appear on the Tesla app map or the GM Cadillac app map. I was able to find the Tesla location in Jericho, New York on the Tesla app drove out there and had no problem charging, but I had no success where you were at and around the corner in Carle Place with GM certified next to CSS adapter
I know next year Tesla plans on opening their supercharging network to other manufacturers and those manufacturers plan on adopting the NACS port. It would be nice if all the other manufacturers would also relocate the charging ports in the same locations as Tesla can conform to make things easier.
All these auto manufacturers have been told that Tesla was eventually going to open up their network. Yet, almost every single one of them chose to place their ports on the WRONG side. Two sides to get it correct they had 2 locations -- either rear left of front right, and they still got it wrong. There is absolutely no reason why the port on your EV should not be on the right front. It's not on Tesla, which built it's network for their 400V vehicles. Since to get to high charging speeds (up to 250kWh) on 400v chargers you have to raise the amps (well past 500amps) which causes tremendous heat, therefore, you have to have the cables as short as possible. The issue is with all the OTHER manufacturers who had plenty of notice, and still CHOSE to place their port on one of the wrong two locations.
