Thanks for your sharing sir, it is really an informative video. By the way, in my case, I have to prepare 0.1M sodium phosphate buffer (pH 6.8). I straight forward mix the both 10ml of 0.1M dibasic and 10ml 0.1M mono basic, and it came out pH 5 something, and then I gently added the solution with dibasic until it reached my target pH. Is it practical? Thanks for your comment.

I have a question. If this is the case, the final conc of individual ingredients will never be 0.1 M. For preparation of a buffer the final concentration of acid and base should be equimolar right?
@monicam.1799

Manmatha Dhara I have the same doubt, does the concentration of the final solution will remain as we are adding the same molarity of both solutions??

The second ingredient u r adding will have a very low concentration. How will and how long it will act as buffer?
@talatz8227
@talatz8227 4 года назад
Since they have prepared equimolar solution i.e. 100mM so the concentration doesn't change. It's the volume that's different not the concentration.

You should have used volumetric flask

If you are professional not to split out the buffer during mixing, it is okey ^_^
