Lecture 19 (2018) HD: Heat Transfer by Prof Josua Meyer 

This lecture is the second lecture on heat exchangers. The concept of the overall heat transfer coefficient is revised. Fouling is considered as well as fin efficiency. Two examples were done focussing on obtaining the overall heat transfer coefficient. The lecture was presented on 17 May 2018. This lecture is Lecture 19 (2018) of approximately 4 lectures that was based on the textbook of Cengel and Ghajar (5th edition) and was presented as part of a heat transfer class to the fourth-year students by Prof Josua Meyer, Head of the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering of the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
