Criticize/Reprimand them in private....this point aaplies in every place for every age group like in College, if there's a complaint about a student or misunderstanding then The Teacher should first clear with the student in private or counsel him/her rather than shouting or insulting the student infront of whole clas. By this he/she loses hmthe confidence and couldn't even keep the right points or defend himself/herself so it's so uneducated way which makes a child feel humiliated and ultimately everybody looks at him/her with hateful eyes.
