Just a quick method to solve Illustration 1.(ii) To give some context, - As we saw in 1 (i) above that if rejection rate is 3% - Loss is 30,000/- ( 5000*3%*200) and Inspection cost is 15,000 so comparatively we saved 5000 (50,000-45,000) in 1(i). - So we have a gap of 5000. If 3% is 30,000 loss, How much % is 35,000 (30,000+5,000)? Cross multiply, (35,000 *3% / 30,000) Answer- 3.5% Thanks Sir for the lectures, really helpful.
