why do we not consider the L of the 2*pi*k*L of radial resistance while *34.20*

Why contact resistance not taken to find q' in 3rd question

In the second question of critical thickness, why aren't we using temperature in Kelvin? Everywhere else in the question temperature is taken in Kelvin!

When we are taking the difference of temperatures, no matter which units you are taking difference always same.

how thickness of the insulation is 0.0175m

Yes sir how it possible

Thickness of insulation is Radius if insulation-Radius of cable= (0.02m-0.0025m)=0.0175m. It is basically the thickness of insulation material used. Since we consider Rc from centre of the cable we have to subtract the radius of cable from critical radius to obtain thickness of insulation

Just to add to that, dia of cable is given as 5mm hence radius is 2.5mm or 0.0025m
