This is a circuit for making a LED Heart, a nice gift for someone special. The "heart" of this project is an NE555 IC configured as Astable Multivibrator. This circuit must be powered with 5-12V DC.

Components:
- 1x NE555
- 16x LED 5mm
- 16x 560Ω Resistors
- 1x 10KΩ Resistor
- 1x 10uF Electrolytic Capacitor
- 1x 100nF Capacitor
- 1x 8 Pin Socket
- 2x PIN or Wire (Vcc & Gnd)
- 1x 100KΩ Trimmer

how do i prevent flashing? is there a way to insert a sort-song player on it? about 10-15 sec?(sorry im not that good on electronics)

Hi, have you try the circuit on a breadboard? (if yes, double check all connections). How do you power it? Have you changed any component?

@@Stefano91ste I think I might have burnt the 555 bc a I used an atx power supply with 12 volts, that's the only reason I could find but not sure yet ;(

If you have not inverted + and - it is impossible that the NE555 is burned with 12V.. an atx power supply delivers 12V DC

True, I only use it when the load at the NE555 output exceeds 200mA

Difficile dare una risposta precisa, ti direi 15 anni... mi sono appassionato all’elettronica 15 anni fa, nel 2010 ho caricato qui i primi semplici video e dal 2017 ho iniziato con i video tutorial. Il 90% di quello che so l’ho imparato da autodidatta, per lo più facendo pratica su Breadboard e Millefori, il restante 10% lo ho imparato a scuola.. l’elettronica non era la materia principale del mio indirizzo di studio.

There is no need for all those resistors limiting current to the LEDs since the heart's LEDs are either all on or all off. Do not get me wrong. I think that it looks good. I love resistors; particularly the carbon ones for their opaque background colour for the colour bands to ride on. It makes them very easy to read and they look sweet becuase you can easily see the colour for the bands. Nice project. 5☆

Hi, Testing this circuit on a breadboard, with no resistors, the 555 warmed up a bit.. with the resistors it warms less. Thanks for appreciating my work!

It's not DIY bro. It's just an advertise and assembly project. No one would buy this circuit to make this led heart. But if you make it yourself lot's of viewers like it more and maybe they make one for themself. At least it's more doable.

Hi, you're wrong, it's DIY.. I designed this circuit, I designed the PCB with a software I bought, I got the components and assembled it. (don't forget my time, and that I share the material for free, unlike many channels where you have to be "patreon" to have access to schemes etc). JLCPCB gives me the PCBs for free (that's why the advertisement) In the video you can see the circuit diagram, so anyone can make it (independently) on a matrix board, breadboard, etc... without buying the PCB. I share the PCB file only for my choice, of course JLCPCB has never asked me to do it :) Furthermore, those who are able to print the PCB at home can use my file and develop the board.

@@Stefano91ste I appreciate your work but I don't like printed PCB's I prefer to see the hand made PCB's it's more enjoying and also doable. I think others like custom PCBs too. Seeing electronic things is relaxing and satisfying by using advertised printed PCB's most of it will be wasted. Really hand made PCB's are more appreciated. Maybe it looks more messy but more satisfaying.

Also missing is the free time I once had, but in the future there will also be that type of PCB ;)

@@Stefano91ste Great, very good to hear that. Channels like you has a good potential, because there is no fake project and it's pure electronic project with skills. That's why expectation is a little bit higher
