No need for higher water resistance/proofing level because Led Lenser make superb dive torches too. I bought one for an ex-g/f who used to sea swim and dive below Brighton pier. It was 100m waterproof and she loved it. A specialist torch manufacturer like Led Lenser has all uses and professions covered.
Thanks for the thorough review. It has helped me in my due diligence in selecting another new torch and have now just ordered one. I recently also purchased a P7R too. They are great quality built product for what they are. 👍🏼
I'm surprised you have just discovered these types of LED flashlights, they have been around for a few years now. They are so good I have replaced my 12v LightForce spotlights with these for hunting use. Thanks for the review and great to see you posting videos again.
I have had friends with them and used a couple before but never got around to reviewing them. It's always the way, so many products to review out there and only so much time I have to review them :)
Thanks for the review man. I purchased this torch a few days ago and one of the thin rubber straps was broken so I returned it and ordered a new one. It should arrive today, can't wait for it.
Have been looking for a quality torch and I enjoy good gear and quite willing to pay the $ but then I heard the price. Gonna have to keep saving my pennies and hope Santa gets the hint. Thanks for the review. It’s in my budget forecast now but in the luxury item line.
It would be great to see a comparison between this and the Wolf eyes ranger 56 in regards to performance in the field. I took a fox at a genuine 240 yards using the magnetic barrel mount with the ranger 56 which I thought was very impressive. As you pointed out the run time of the Led Lenser is amazing but does the usb charging capability of the ranger somewhat make up for the reduced run time? I think that what I'm getting at is the led Lenser worth the extra $250?
It really depends on what your use is, for me I want an all-round torch that is going to give me a decent amount of runtime to last the entire night and this is the only torch I have found that does that on full power. I'd still be keen to check out the wolf eyes tho
I wish this was available in the US market I have the old model and it has served me great for security work but the bezel is kinda weak it couldn't handle getting ran over by a car 😭 everything has its limits I guess.
It wont run 8h on full..it will drop from full to lower after 1.5 min..heating protection.. If you want 1000 lumens again..you have to turn it off and then turn it on..and you have again 1000 lumens for 1.5 minute
Ho ozzy, I’ve just come from your videos on gun control laws and came up with a question: I noticed that throughout the videos I’ve watched, both from you and others. A recurring theme of belief is that as gun restrictions become tighter, they will not loosen in future. Do you genuinely believe this to be true and if so, why? I live and hunt in New Zealand so don’t have any experience with Australian gun laws but was curious as to why a multitude of people seem to believe this.
