This video couldn't have come at a better time. I've been looking into LED masks & this was so helpful. The clearest explanation I've seen so far. Thanks, Emma x
@@gothamista I have bought the silicone one you showed first as it's definitely the best one I've seen so far. I used your link & discount - thanks! Emma x
I have never subscribed any RU-vidr because I always feel they promote mostly paid advertising. But Renee I feel she is honest and I can totally trust her recommendations. I have personally purchased her recommendation and they work great for me. Love her videos and the amount of knowledge she has just amazes me ♥️
I work in a spa that doesn't have a large budget and these masks would be perfect for us! Your vids are always so informative!! Thank you for all the hard work and research you do!!
I love my Boost Light Salon face mask. I have been struggling with acne my whole life. When the pandemic hit, I went through a MAJOR breakout out and then maskacne made it worse. I stopped using foundation and focused on healing my skin. I purchased in July as I wanted to now focus accelerating my skin renewal and diminish dark spots. I have used it consistently (night and day 3x a week) and saw improvements in a month = improved skin texture and reduced oiliness. Now in Nov, my dark spots have been reduced significantly and my acne has healed. I now only use the mask one a day 3x a week.
This was the info I was waiting for to take the leap to buy one. Have been having salon treatments for almost a year but only at my 8weekly facials so hoping this helps boost the results without the cost/ time to go to the salon every other day. Thanks Renee for your througher, considered and genuine review. I really feel like I can trust in your opinion (more so that any other influencer) 😚🤗. xx
Omg, I just bought both the face and the neck/decolléte mask with your discount code! I had been wanting one and this video just pushed me over the edge. And since I'm worried about my neck, had to purchase that one, too. Thanks for super informative video and awesome discount code, Renee! Guess this will be my Xmas present, next year's Bday present, basically all the presents to myself for the near and far foreseeable future... 😬
The specs for the Audro LED mask are similar the Boost (including NIR) but it includes other light options. I just bought it. Feeling hopeful! Great video.thx as always!!
Just purchased the The Light Salon one - I had been thinking about getting it for the past 6 months. I can't wait for it to arrive. Thanks for the great review, as always, Gothamista.
@@amitshipra I have! I like it. It does seem to make my skin more glowy. It’ll be interesting to see the long-terms impacts. I also like the routine of using it, especially during these crazy times.
Just as Keepfitgirl wrote, I was just going to buy a cheap mask from china, had no idea of what to look for in quality and the such so thank you for the REALLY informative video!! Thanks!!
Red light sounds great, and friends & family all over the world also SEE reality and pray for the survival of democracy, the impartial rule of law, human rights, a moral compass, excellent honest character, science-based health guidance, life, and freedom from health suffering and heartbreak. I see you do too :)
@@iis.1989 oh no, can u help? ... What is 'new world order'? Is it something friends & family around the World know about? I would appreciate knowing. I've asked family in Australia and UK ... They just draw a blank????
@@iis.1989 Also, in Canada I can't find anyone who knows what 'new world order' is. This is may be a bit weird because you don't actually look alike but your mannerisms and facial symmetry remind me so much of Rosamund Pike that it almost seems to me that you're closely related.
Hotandflashy has a comparison with all specs for all masks out there . I have the omnilux . Not interested in blue light … i tend to hyperpigmentate lol
Ive seen the benefits of red light therapy, my boyfriend bought some panels off Amazon that actually have the same wavelength quality that you described, and red and near infrared light as well, they are fairly inexpensive ($60-80) and he uses them on his psoriasis. I've used them but wanted something that I could just comfortably lay with, an actual mask. So excited you posted this because I considered buying the Dennis Gross one but realized they actually don't disclose any specifications, and also include blue light which I wasn't aware it's not a good thing necessarily. Thank you!
These weren’t on my radar and now I fear they’re going on a list of things I’m going to buy myself to celebrate finishing nursing school in May. You kill my wallet, Renee 😊
Thank you for recommending this product. I was looking at the higher price masks but was too scared to spend that amount. It’s expensive but once I think about it, I spent more on the Dyson air wrap whereas this mask helps with the hyperpigmentation on face. Thank you again. For your code it only worked after I added the spray bottle as well.
I am so curious about this now! As with all bulbs, they have a lifespan. So, does the Boost LED face mask claim how long it can be used for? I mean, it is quite the investment!
@@KDebora Hello Debora, LED's can last for years however, as there are other elements to the device, we guarantee it for two years (under the warranty)
Thank you for this! It's exactly what I needed to help me make an informed purchase - plus the 20% off made the leap to the pricier mask much easier to stomach. Looking forward to using this mask! Thank you, Reneé!
Is there a difference between the blue light in LED therapy and blue light from phones and other screens that some sunscreens claim to protect you from? If there’s enough information/research on it, I’m sure the acne sufferers especially would love a video addressing this!!
The blue light wavelengths on a phone are different to an acne treating LED device. 415nm blue light is the most affective wavelength that will target acne forming bacteria. Devices that deliver alternative blue wavelengths such as 460nm are brilliant blue in colour but not as affective.
Thank you for this my skin guru. Been wanting to invest in one and just needed more education on it. Just ordered one. Thanks for the discount code. Came in handy. 😊
This is the most perfect timing! I spent the entire week searching for the right on to buy! I also saw the one from dr. Dennis Gross but this one seems to be even better. Thank you 🙏🏻✨
@@gothamista Hi Renee, just wanted to clarify about the DDG mask. I'm so confused. I have one and I just checked the manual and it says that "this device incorporates natural light energy in the blue (415nm), amber (605nm), red(630nm), deep red(660nm) and infrared (880nm) spectrums." The Light Salon one looks amazing but I don"t want to buy it if the DDG mask is just as efficacious. Would love some clarity and I'm so thankful for all that you do.
@@lisab4673 you don't need to buy another one if you already have the DDG mask. I asked them and they confirmed to use 830 nm infrared and 660 nm deep red.
@@playitlouda So you already use the DDG mask? how do you grade it? Do you use any protective eye coverings wiht it? Would you repurchase or go for the ones Gothamista recommends right now? Greetings from Germany!
Do you have any recommendations for protective eyewear goggles that are effective at blocking out ~400nm to ~700nm light (which include all the colors I personally use particular LED mask). Ideally their shape/size would resemble tanning bed goggles so I can target skin around my eye area which you can’t really get to with the (huge) IPL treatment type goggles. Ones I’ve found (super sunnies) unfortunately only protect eyes from UVB and UVA waves, not visible light waves so they’re incompatible with light therapy. Love the video and love the channel!!!!
Hello, we can recommend eye shields such as the Vanalay or Honeywell disposable eye shields, which can be used multiply ones, if you carefully replace onto the plastic sheet 😊
Great info as always I use green tea toner 20 min before my LED treatment. (There is studies on this surprised you aren’t doing this Renée) I also use the lightstim b. Will be purchasing a mini panel with all your specs for have the cost of the light salon boost mask and only 5-15 min a day and it covers your neck and décolleté as well.
Laura Torricke-Barton I believe any green tea product. I know many who are brewing organic green tea and putting in a spray bottle and using that or getting a sheet mask from amazon and using that way. They will soak in the tea and apply the sheet mask wait 20 and continue with LED. I use the Isn tree green tea toner it has 80% green tea extract and the price point is well on point! Got it amazon for 18.99 Hope this helps.
Interested in getting this mask but it is out of stock!!! Wow it’s popular! With that being said, would it trigger any pigment or make things worse in terms of hyperpigmentation? Thank you!!! Keep doing what you are doing! Love your channel! ❤️
Thank you for this, often overlooked, information that you highlighted in your video. I feel much better informed about which devices are worth my time and money. I just ordered the flexible mask and plan to use it on my hair as well (why not?!).
This was so incredibly helpful! Thank you for all the excellent information (also your skin is glowing)! I've been looking into this and was having trouble picking a device. Do you have any experience with the laser light helmets/hats for the scalp? I would adore your view on those before investing in one.
I’m actually trying that out now - I am so intrigued about this myself since I have a very stressed scalp. Will let you know - I wonder if they work well through hair.
Omg!! Thank you so much for this video, I’ve been wanting one for a while but they were rather too expensive or I didn’t know which one to buy. Thank you 💕
i was all set to buy this mask, but then your discount code had expired. Another mask which looks identical to this one popped up. Its called Current Body and With all the discount codes that popped up from Rakuten, the price dropped to $279. I had to pay for shipping, but it arrived from the UK to my home on the east coast of US in two days. I also bought a packet of sheet mask sthat they recommended called Hydroboost. Both items are fantastic. Enjoying it very much. Thank you.
I have the Boost mask and love it! Have you tried using it on your hands and chest? Works a treat, my sleeping creases have massively improved, and my weirdly geriatric hands look my age! It's just tough to sit for 10 minutes not moving my hands, didn't know I was so darn antsy before
Great video, Renee! I purchased The Light Salon face mask a few months ago - I love it! I'm very tempted to purchase the decolletage bib as well. Have you tried the bib? If so, any concern with the light & thyroid issues? Thanks!
I’ve been toying with the idea of buying a mask for years but wasn’t convinced about the quality of the products. Thank you so much! I was saving up for a new iPad, but now I think I’m going to splurge on the first mask instead. 😆
Thank you so much for the work you put in to this video. The information is much appreciated and very helpful! I took your recommendation and ordered the Omnilux silicone mask and I’m so excited to get it. 😊
Hi Renee, I hope you will update for us in 3 months and your results. I had very bad melasma on my right side and afraid to use LED light . Thanks you for sharing.
I use the anduro face mask led has many colours and has the science behind it. Useing a green tea toner with your mask treatment brings such great clarity to the skin vitamin c serum works well allso iv found
Hi I found your channel last week and now I’m trying to watch all your videos, really liked it I’m all about skin care since I was younger I’m 57 now and lately I’m not too happy with the way my skin is looking 😔 don’t understand why . Loving your channel I will keep watching maybe I need to change my products or do something different.
I always learn so much from watching your videos! Thanks for all your hard work. Have any thoughts on Eternal Clear's high frequency skin therapy device? Looking for a tool to help with... well everything 😂 is my money better spent on a different device?
Red light and NIR should be fine for melasma, my dermatologist confirmed this before i started using these. You could run a risk with blue light though.
I’ve been trying to find the right LED mask to invest in. I had bought the Dr. Denis Gross eye mask. Sadly it stopped working. Thus I’ve been hesitant to invest in his rather pricey. Rigid face mask. The beautiful Lisa Eldridge, has not only the face, the neck, chest as well. From the same company. As always you’ve managed to make my life that much better. With this ringing endorsement.
Hi René, thank you for the information! Great as always... what do you think about Foreo UFO? Their claim is that they use RED at 629nm, GREEN at 519nm and BLUE at 464nm. I really wonder about your opinion. Best wishes!
I have used the Celluma for knee pain! It truly is awesome and the skin around my knees is smoother as well! I may need to buy one! (Have been getting treatment in an office)
Edith Spencer Great, thanks for letting me know! I’ve just started using it on my face and so far it’s made my skin glow! I’ve have to use it longer to see if it has any anti-aging benefits!
can’t believe i just bought the boost LED mask... i’m excited about the results from this investment though! it would be great to see your results 6 months, 1 year from now too!
Yes it's about 4 months for me and I already saw the difference after month 1 in terms of how much more hydrated my skin is, or how much it holds hydration in!
I hear non stop raving about the Omni lux, but few reviews where the Boost Light and the Omnilux are objectively compared. Curious to know what made you choose this device, over the Omni-lux. Value your feedback please? Thanks. :)
You’re the best!! I wasn’t sure which LED mask to buy, there are just too many and the prices vary just too much. Thank god I found your video, which made me order the boost LED mask instead of another one and I am soooo happy!!! Thank you thank you thank you. Thinking about buying the neck/décolletage LED device too - but to treat my surgery scars :) hope this works! How long will your discount code still work? 🌟
A blog post prompted me to check out The Light Salon LED mask on the weekend. I have the Dr Denis Gross LED light face mask and eye mask, but if I’d known about The Light Salon, I would have selected it instead. I use the face mask in the morning while I’m applying my body moisturiser, and use the eye mask at night while I’m brushing my teeth. I love to save time by multi-tasking. I do however love my DDG LED masks, but I’m now questioning if the light is as strong. 🥰
I love how direct you are, can you please make a review or explanation about professional, hand held high frequency skin therapy wands? Thanks a bunch - New subbie 💕
Thanks for such an informative video! Lately I've been extra curious about LED light therapy and other skincare devices, would love to see you review and educate us more on different skincare devices especially Foreo's Bear Smart Microcurrent Facial Toning Device
Thanks for the video! It's reassuring that the red light has so many positive reviews and science behind it. Does the red light penetrate through clothing (e.g., t-shirt)?
Hi Renee, thank you for this video!! I've been very curious about LED masks but have wondered if the red light would make my melasma worse since I have an olive complexion. After watching your video again, I am seriously considering your mask recommendations. Thank you!!
Thank you for the video, you always give great information. Do you know how does this one compares to the CurrentBody Skin LED light therapy mask? This mask is easier to get in Europe.
I found this video very informative. What would you and other experts recommend applying before and after the light mask? I have oily, sensitive skin that tends to show signs of redness in odd places around my face and neck and then disappear a few hours later.
M.C. Thats misinformation. They have the exact same number of lights and irradiation (energy output). All I could tell is that Currentbody has better discounts and is much cheaper. The Light Salon appears to be a rebranded product with a markup, and a different logo. I used that same site to make my decision, but I should have verified the facts. Buyers remorse lol
T Borisenko hi love! I support the Light Salon because they originally developed this mask with omnilux. It was a labour of love but unfortunately theyre not a huge brand with the funds required to protect their product and demand exclusivity. This came out at least 8 months before the Current Body or omnilux came out with their branded mask. I personally want to support the small business whose expertise revolves solely around LED - but my viewers are smart and wise shoppers who will find deals may even want to try something different. This is just what I prefer to use. 💕
Gothamista thanks, Renee! It’s hard to see the full story and both sides of the story online. Currentbody claims to have access to the patent so I assumed that they either own the patent or the Light Salon is getting paid the royalties on the sales. At least that’s how it works in the US on patented products. The patent owner can choose to let others to use their tech for an appropriate cost. If that’s not the case, I’m sorry to hear that. As someone starting up a company, I would be very upset if someone ran with the profits! Not to mention, I’d be chasing them with a team of lawyers and slamming their reputation online :)
@@TB-rx1ue Great research work! How does the dr. dennis gross mask perfom in comparison? Can it also be used on the scalp for Hair Growth stimulation? Greetings from Germany!
I just ordered the Light Salon Boost LED mask! I've been looking into buying one but I wasn't sure which one to purchase until your video. Does it help with deeper acne scars? Thank you Renee!
They are exactly the same. Omnilux, the company she mentioned made both of them as well as their own (Contour). It is just the same mask with a different print on the front. I would recommend the Current Body one since it's the cheapest.
The Boost has evolved from our core Light Salon offer and we have built on our reputation and trust (having delivered over 30,000 LED facials to date). Thank you ❤ I Really want to try the mask. I'm gonna save some money for it. I have seen some other devices like Hand held devices, do you think they are worthy?
Hi, I love your channel, very informative, I always wanted to buy led mask but there are so many, never knew which one is the real deal, the discount code doesn't work though? Any suggestions? Thank you😘
