Please... switch it off before cutting the LED - as you cut through it, you are short-circuiting the output of the power supply. Yes, if you're quick you may get away with it, but it's also likely you could blow the PSU. Why take that chance?

hi do you know if there is a program to work out the measurements to get the right size of sign / and to work out the cuts of the text as you can only cut the led every 2.5 cm????
What if the letter required strip to be cut in middle of cut marks? Or do you have to make similar length of letters according to Cut marks on led strip? Please help i cannot find a solution for this

In fact, the flex neon light has PVC neon light and silicone neon light. PVC neon light has AC 110V/220V input, and then only 0.5m length cuttable for AC 110V, 1m length cuttable for AC 220V. Most silicone flex neon light is DC 12V/24V input, and normally it is 120LEDs/m 2835 LEDs/m strip light inside. 25mm length cuttable for DC 12V, 50mm length cuttable for DC 24V. So maybe your neon light is AC 220V input.
If it can only be cut every 2.8cm, how do you make sure that it will work with the design and you wont have a bit of neon either too long or too short?
yes - sorry for hijacking your post, but I wanted to ask this same question - with ordinary led strips, I think you can cut at every 3rd led, but here, I see the rope being cut, and then trimmed a little more ? If an alphabetical letter requires something like 8" of rope, can you trim it exactly ? or do you have to size your letters to match a given cut length ?

Where can you find the end caps that are shown ? Here they are being installed and a set of wires being soldered on (in this video). I'm talking about the tube being terminated and jumpered to the next tube ? - starting at 0.33

The glue used is 502. It depends on the flex LED you use. If you are using latex based flex LED, 502 works great. If you are using silicone based flex LED, you can use clear silicone caulk.

there are lots of different types, you usually get a cut mark where you can cut it. it should also be mentioned in the specifications how narrow you can cut, all from 2cm till 100cm.
There are so many videos of led flex being cut to exact measurements but all the products I can find for sale cannot be cut precisely. Most can only be cut every 40 inches. Please help if you can!
Can I just state that these are not neon signs, never have been and never will be. People should not Be selling these as LED neon signs. They are just LED SIGNS. No Néon is involved and most of the time they look crap. NEON RULES

If they are not using 'Neon' and 'Argon' gas, this is not 'NEON' lighting. It may be a valid alternative, but call it what it is. Making 'real' neon lighting is an art.

The minute you see "LED" in the description I would assume you'd know it's not real neon. Having said that, over time words can adapt multiple meanings - in this case, it has a neon look - which you cannot say it doesn't, because that is in the eye of the beholder and a straight-up opinion. Everything creative is an art, including what this person is doing here. Granted, it's not bending glass, but it's still art. I've been an artist my entire life and have interest in using something that looks like neon in my artwork, this is perfect for it and far less expensive. If you say because I'm using this faux neon look because it's LED, and I cannot label it as art w/neon lighting then you are mistaken. You can bet that at some point in time this may very well replace the old of art of Neon making in the traditional sense and for decades will still be called neon, just a fact of technological evolution. It's still art, at it's core and looks like neon to most I'm sure.
