My under cabinet system (designed and set up per supplier) has worked fine for 1-1/2 years and is now flashing. Wired parallel to three cabinets. Small kitchen.. The transformer is in my 89 degree basement. Could that be too warm for it?

Thanks bro! you solved a major problem for me. You made me realise the voltage drop in my 2 AMP wires - which were 2.5 metres long. So I switched to 7AMP wires and it worked!! Thanks!!

Hi, i just have 1 white channel LEDs. When I use the DMX decoder in standalone there is no flicker, i can switch on and off perfectly. When i switch to DMX control they flicker every 3 seconds. I can dim and play with which channel etc. all fine but the flicker. Any ideas? Question as well. I only connect via the decoder, 12v comes out and the LED is connected direct via 30cm of cable. You have RGB which I assume is why you have power in one end and DMX on the other. is this labelled on the LED strip?

I’ve done 2 led bars straight to the battery with a inline fuse with a 3 pin switch under my car bonnet but now starts to flash how can I stop it ??? Relay? Or resistor?? Also plan on adding more bulbs to make the under side of the bonnet look like stars at night what would be best to add them with a switch

Hey brother thanks for the vid... I have practically the same led strips , I have them connected to a 3 prong power switch , have been using them for about a year, have left them on over night and various hours at times. With no issues.... recently they just shut off. All power cuts off, even the light on my 3 prong switch goes out so obviously the switch is cutting off, but I don’t know why, if I wait a couple minutes the light switches on automatically on my switch and I can’t turn my leds back on but after a minute or seconds they power off. The leds turn on and off soo I don’t think the issue is there... PLEASE HELP!! p.s. I I’m to sure but I believe one if leds + & - we’re exposed and I think they touched metal witch could have caused this but can’t see. To fix it. I’ve tried a new switch of the same but same results. Thank you

My led Flash intermittently when connected to my TV but works fine when connected to a mains. I think it’s because they are overloading? is there anything I can connect to the USB so I can have them on my tv, a reducer if there is such a thing?

Hi! I need help with my LED lights and I can’t seem to find any videos about it. I recently got my lights like brand new 5 minute ago opened and I put it up. My dad like nailed some parts but between the lights where you’re supposed to cut on both of the lights. One of them is working but the other side works with some colors but on like green or white it starts dimming and is very dim or not even the color I selected. Help?
@jefbenet
@jefbenet 4 года назад
Most likely one of the nails pierced through the connections of the strip. This would need to be repaired by removing the offending nail and the connection soldered, or you may be able to cut out the bad section and use some of the quick-connect type snap on plugs available on amazon to join the two halves to salvage the strip and bypass the damaged portion, assuming its just one place that is.
@alljello3880
@alljello3880 4 года назад
You can cut the part where he nailed. It’s like Christmas lights if ones out they all go out. Just cut off the damaged part and make sure you don’t cut off the connector

@BrainybitsCanada
@BrainybitsCanada 5 лет назад
Hard to say without seing the actual way it's connected, but when power is removed (by the switch) the led strip should not have any power, therefore should not flicker (at least not for long). Maybe check if there's some power still going to the led strip even when the switch is turned off... If so maybe the switch is not completely turning off the power. Hope that helps and thank you for watching btw.

A contractor installed two sets of LED lights under our cabinets. Have two sets of an AC/DC adapter Model: LJH-1206 which plugs into an outlet, then it plugs into an RF Receiver which is then attached to flexible LED tape of lights. I cannot see how it is connected as it is covered with a large blob of silicone. Each set has a remote, but both sets are controlled at the same time. If you turn off/on both sets activate identically. They are opposite sides of the kitchen. Within a few days of installation we noted that occasionally they will flash about 3 times in unison. If you are not in the room and see the flash it is like lightning. Contractor said call the supplier. Supplier says talk to contractor. A week and a half later the controller no longer works. Replaced the batteries in the remotes, nothing. We got the supplier to replace the remotes and the RF Receivers. The remotes work, but they still occasionally flash 3 times, always in unison. What do I do??? THANK YOU!

Replace the whole thing with a higher quality product. It isn't worth the troubleshooting.

every time I turn on the power supply (external) to feed 70 leds on one strip, I noticed that the leds flashed once. I'm not quite sure if that's normal. I then run the arduino to control the leds.

Considering a capacitor between the power supply and the LEDs. There is one in the breadboard in this video. I believe 1k should do it. You should also, generally, turn the power supply on and THEN plug in the LEDs, where possible.

Hello new to this , just wanted to know, you have connected data pin and gnd in from of the led strip and giving power supply to leds from behind?
@joshy_j_

It doesn't matter where the power supply comes from, there is no front or back in terms of the power supply. Only the data signal is directional.

Using the WS2812 series was a bad idea for this video. The worst flicker for these is the low PWM causing issues with video and in general when moving eyes across a scene. I'd recommend you split this video to add more details: A. Power supply ripple caused flicker and the solutions. B. PWM caused flicker and the non-solvability. I know your video is named "Possible Reason and Solution!" but missing these obvious points isn't great.

Oh god, are you supposed to have the power and controller going into opposite ends of the strip? Thats what this looks like. My setup is (starting at outlet): 5v power supply cord --> controller --> dupont connectors --> factory led adapter --> led soldering points, all on one end. And I get flicker when it transitions between colors. 9ft of 144pixel leds
