LED tester quick look and teardown 

How do you know if you have a 1.5v or a higher voltage led. Can this device test both without burning them.

Odd some of the pins weren't connected. I ordered one to try. Maybe there's room to add some small meters.

How much is it? $$$$$$$$$?

I was thinking about putting a voltage regulator in mine and drop it to 5V. I have lit up a few leds in circuits with it and don't want to burn up anything. The resistance values will be off a little but shouldn't be a problem plus the current is low. I might wire up a couple of meters so I can check the voltage and current on some samples.
