There's nothing like getting so many notes just by changing the Intensity from a real drum. A trigger is not even analog 1 to 1 with a tuned drum head and on top of that it's covered to digital before it's taken back to analog. Yes acoustic is more expensive because everything that is needs to support it but it's worth it

Well said….many times “less is more”, why do most drummers feel that every beat has sound attached it….when silence can be just as loud and rhythmic….”FEEL IT”….don’t just play it…..drum on !

And, that guys version was pretty damn good, although I did go the extra mile and played all the percussion parts, including the cowbells in background, which I unfortunately did not video.

Actually, I am playing with Bonham's tracks still in there. So, you hear both of us. I did this before there was instrument removal and there was no "drumless track" at the time. I just had to learn it as exact as I could. I was able to eq Bonham's drums out a little bit, as much as I could but you can hear the both of us if you listen carefully. Thanks for checking it out.

Thank you. Although, I must confess, I did this recording before there were apps or websites to go to to remove drums and other instruments. So, when recording this, I had to learn it as note for note as possible, record my drums to the song with Bonzo's drums still in there. I was able to eq him out as much as possible and mix in my drums a little heavy. You can hear both drums in a couple quick spots where I don't play it exact, but yes, the drum sound is close, lol. I have another video in there when I had just purchased the 26" kick drum. That gives a pretty accurate sound of those drums. Thanks man.

Thank you Ross. I appreciate the kind words. And yes, it was a tough one to get consistent when I first worked on it. I had replaced a drummer and joined a Zepp tribute a few years back. I saw it on the song roster and thought "Oh boy" lol. It was tough for a couple weeks of really wood shedding it, but it got smooth enough fairly quickly and I'm very comfortable with it now. "hocus pocus snare", lol. The recording of that 10" snare, the whistle and shakers were an afterthought. After I recorded the main part, I thought, "Why not just go all out?", so I added that stuff later and just edited it in. Thank you sir. I have to say, in all honesty, this song is really not all that hard to play, lol. Well, sorta. I have messed around with this shuffle and other shuffle groves for years. When I joined a Zeppelin tribute band several years ago, I saw this song on the song roster and knew I had to bone up on it. I practiced it a lot before having to play at a show. That was 6 or 7 years ago. I guess any difficult piece of music is, well, difficult if you haven't played it before. But once you learn it, it's pretty easy. Thanks for checking it out.
