Why don't we all agree it was f_ing amazing and leave it at that? The dude did a great job putting the clip together, we all watched it, regardless of Zeppelin, Band of Joy, Hendrix, we love them all which is why it went viral with no video. Doubt that he knew the difference but its a great song and this was a great cover, yes!

Once and for all: this is not Led Zeppelin and it is not 1974. This is Robert Plant's pre-Zeppelin band called The Band Of Joy, from about '67.

@@goku5511 I agree there voices are different, but I honestly wouldn't say Robert is a better singer than Josh, as far as pure technique goes Josh has better pitch, vibrato, and overall more control, but Robert Plant is obviously a legend
@goku5511
@goku5511 4 года назад
Braydon Barnum better pitch? I can see that. Better vibrato? That’s a stretch. Check out Zepps BBC recordings. Plant did crazy things on the mic. And as far as overall control? I think the guy with over a dozen albums under his belt all with different sounds and techniques claims that prize. No doubt they are both amazing singers. I personally just do not see the similarities others see. I think Josh sounds much more like Ian Gillian. All in all these are just my humble opinions I’m no expert.

+Sid Mansfield We used to have something we called Zep fest. We had a fanatical Zep friend who had over $10,000 in Zep memorabilia. A group of us hard core Zep friends would go over his house and he would showcase all his stuff from the Presence obelisk, to souvenir ticket stubs, to signed autographs, to rare recordings. We thought we seen and heard it all. This was all pre-youtube/pre-internet. Now there is always something new to be seen and heard with the click of a mouse.

Well thanks all those who commented and set the record straight here.. Lol To me, it's kind of disturbing that people do this - post videos with totally misleading misinformation; but on the other hand it's great to hear something like this, for it is extremely rare. But I feel the bad pretty much cancels out the good in this case, and it would probably be a great service if somebody were to repost the video with the correct info (1967 Plant / Bonham "Band of Joy".. or whatever it is)...
