In my humble opinion this is their best song. I remember when this album came out in 1975 and I first heard this song. I was in high school working part time and saved my hard earned money, about $12 or $13 for the double album, and couldn't wait to get it on the turntable.

Robert Plant suffered from throat issues his entire career and you can hear his voice constantly changing year to year and even show to show. Eventually he had vocal surgery in 1973 due to nodes that had to be removed in his throat and his voice was never the same again. You can really hear his voice struggle during the ‘73 tour including the MSG shows. It took him years to reinvent his technique but I actually dig his voice in ‘79, he still didn’t have the range he used to but his new style of singing was more suited to the later work they were producing. All that being said, Plants voice between 1968 and 1971 is unbelievable. I would really recommend watching their Royal Albert Hall Show from 1970, I think it’s their best performance captured on video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DohsUDR7otk.html

Thank you for the extra effort. I appreciate it. Little fact you may or may not know. Jimmy Page was once asked about their live performances and if they practiced all the songs. Jimmy's reply was well we have a set list but the songs take their own identity depends on the vibe or if Robert switched up the lyrics then the band would follow. Same as if I went in a different direction Bonzo would follow. We all had the ability to just make it up as we go.so every performance was different you never knew what was going to happen. A 6 minute song can easily become 30 minutes. That's why our shows would last for 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hours. I'm paraphrasing. Point is live Zeppelin never performed the same song the same way it was always different. That's why live Zeppelin is so unique.because you never knew what you were going to hear. Just another reason they are the greatest band to ever grace the stage

This version is from 1979 before the original drummer died, he was the reason they broke up because he was so insanely good. The reunion concert, celebration day you originally reacted to has the original drummers son on the drums, a great drummer but not on the level of his dad so that is why the energy is much better here.
