Led Zeppelin is not satanic. The Stairway backwards doesn't mean anything. Robert Plant said that they didn't do that on purpose. They're just a band that just happens to be awesome. Their music is not about the devil.

I had never played a double neck before, and Stairway was the first song that came to mind, so I just started playing it. I wouldn't say I play Stairway to Heaven badly, I mean, I'm no Jimmy Page, but I know the chords and notes well, and I can play it smoothly. Can't quite do the solo yet... hahaha....

In reality, to backmask it on purpose like that would be damn near impossible, if not impossible. Opeth (as a joke) did 'satanic' messages backwards on a song from The Watershed album and those sections don't make a damn bit of sense when you listen to the song played normally.

No, its just conidered "taboo" in some places to play it, for a number of possible reasons: 1: Everyone tries to play stairway, a lot of times terribly, and music enthusiasts don't want people butchering a legendary song 2: There are schools of thought that Zep was satanic (I don't believe it) and if u play stairway backward its supposed to be a calling for satan of some sort... 3. In mochary of Waynes World i'm sure there are more reasons, but his is what I think is popular thought

I mean, the so-called messeges are so indistinct you can actually only makre them out when you have the words written in front of you... and the messege that is supposed to be there doesn't make any actual sence... i have to disagree with you. Jimmy Page bought Crowley's house. Ok... maybe he liked the house? maybe you could think of that. Maybe because he found Crowley's works interesting and admired his style. And what is your basis that Led Zeppelin were satanists? the backmask? the mysticism? that was part of the character that made LZ so great. I have to say... what is so special about that artwork that religion is responsible for? to me a painting is just a painting. effort my ass, i could... cont.

Yeah, I don't believe it, but some people are convinced.....assholes they are....lol. Yeah, Zep was greatly influenced by paganism, especially old Norse and Anglo Saxon. There is actually some belief that Stairway was about Galadrial of Lord of the RIngs, because LOTR was based largely around Norse legend and mythology, as was J. R. Tolkein's area of expertise. But satanism.... na... bunch o bullshit.
