Those are scenes from their MOVIE! This whole concert went for 3 1/2 hours!! There is NOBODY else like them! REAL musicians...not like today...they are the greatest 4 musicians on the planet...pure magic!

It was actually longer than that, and there are songs that they performed that aren't even in that movie. The movie just gives a peek at what went on that night. They played about 7 more songs than what is in the movie.

@@kesolino She doesn't look old enough to have been there. I was only 12 years old in 1973. A lot of people think the concert happened in 1976 because the movie wasn't released until three years later.

Jimmy Page was showing off big time on the 12-string during "The Song Remains the Same". That double neck guitar became something of his signature, but he also often played a Les Paul as well as a Telecaster. "The Rain Song" borrows lyrically from "Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall" by The Ink Spots from 1944. And "Drown In My Own Tears" by Ray Charles from 1956. If you're curious about the formation of the band, Donovan's "Hurdy Gurdy Man" from 1968 features Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham from a not yet formed Led Zeppelin. Bonham's drumming is unmistakable.

It may look like showing off but there’s a boring practicsl explanation, The Double neck guitar was in fact born out of the needs of a lone guitarist requiring 2 different sounds within the same tune.

The scenes of singer Robert Plant dressed as a medieval knight are from the concert film "The Song Remains The Same", which came out in 1976. The movie includes footage from their 1973 concerts in NYC, interviews and some fictional stuff featuring the members of the band.

This is how it should be done. Masters of their craft all of them. This is two separate songs, but the are the 2nd & 3rd songs on the "House's of the Holy" album. During concerts Jimmy decided that they should just run together as the way one ends is similar to how the other begins. So that's how they were done.

This illustrates what I said in the 1970's, and a lot of people laughed about it, but, still, it's true. I said that Led Zeppelin was the best band of their time, and that they were way ahead of their time. Now look! People of this day and time are agreeing with me. Yeah! There were a lot of other good bands, but Jimmy Page predicted the future with his guitar playing. I was right.

Yet these guys produced music like no others because they took the time to research the grates that they grew up on and learn from them you don't have that nowadays That's also why it's very very difficult to separate if any one person from the band that stands out they stand together or they don't stand at all as the case when John Bonham passed
