I was fortunate to see Jimmy do this song 4 times live and it is my all time favorite. April, you are truly a master. I have seen at least 10 LZ tribute bands and none of them even attempt this song. You put all of the trib bands to shame and you should be extremely proud. I am now standing and clapping and yelling BRAVO!!! I certainly hope Jimmy sees this and contacts you.

Jesus christttt, you did an INCREDIBLE job on this. This is no ordinary feat. I doubt any cover will rival this. Other people may learn the notes and imitate the tone, but you have the feel. You have “it”. I guarantee Jimmy would be impressed with your skill. This is one of the only RU-vid covers of anything that has absolutely blown me away.

*What an amazing performance!!* The late Pentangle guitarist Bert Jansch, who recorded his own version of the original folk song, *Black Waterside,* would have also been amazed. Not sure if the many commenting here actually realize *Jimmy Page did not compose this song.* This song is a traditional English/Irish folk song, there is also a version with lyrics.

I had the remarkably fantastic fortune of not only seeing Zeppelin twice, in '73 and '75 in Pittsburgh, but also seeing Page in L.A. in '83 at the Ronnie Lane ARMS benefit show...and, best of all, while on a business trip to England in 1999, through a stars-are aligned series of twists of fate, met Jimmy Page at his then-residence in Windsor and got to chat one-on-one with him for over 30 minutes...to add even more icing to that delicious cake, I later became friends with "Mr. Jimmy" Sakurai (see the movie!), the " Japanese Jimmy Page and guitarist for Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening, and in 2018 got the chance to jam "Hey Hey What Can I Do" with his Mr. Jimmy band featuring the late (R.I.P. my Friend) great Frankie Banali (Quiet Riot) on the sticks. You did a BEYOND-PHENOMENAL job on these classics, bravissimo!!! Both Jimmys would be proud!!!

I've been listening to this song since 1986 and this is the best rendition I've ever heard. I used to collect boots on vinyl, vhs, cd, mp3, flac... I don't remember which specific performance this was replicated from, but I recognise it clearly. Amazing! I saw Page with the Outrider tour in 88 I think, and then Page / Plant at Nassau Colleseum in 96, and between songs I screamed WHITE SUMMER and they both turned to look at me! But they didn't play the song, lol. Anyway, you're awesome, please upload more.

What a damn daunting piece of music to learn. Didn't think I'd find anyone else crazy enough to learn this by ear. ...the effort you put into this... There's almost no form to each section, and if that wasn't hard enough to keep track of, he finds ways to make the riffs chaotic too. But yeah... because of all that, this song is goated and is always fun to play. Also, you've done this track so much justice, really spot on interpretation, and an incredible flow to it.

Certainly captures the Celtic roots and spirit of this mystical ethereal timeless beautiful song.
