Legendary indeed. I was 17 when this LP came out and I remember where I was and who I was with the first time I heard this. Keep in mind that when they hit the field they were up against The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, The Who and how many others and they still split the sky wide open with this.
My favs from LedZep: this, "Rock N Roll", "Dazed and Confused", "Ramble On", "Ten Years Gone", "What Is And What Should Never Be", "Dancing Days", "D'Yer Mak'er"
If you watch this song live from Madison Square Garden...it will BLOW YOU AWAY!! The eerie part here is Jimmy Page...the guitarist...playing an instrument called a Theramin!
Once I heard it I've never forgotten 😃. Glad you listened to it again Haze! Now which ones next🤔... Bring it on home Ramble on Thank you How many more times
"The Lemon Song" and maybe "D'yer Mak'er" two more Zep favorites .... I'm sure others will fill you in on the background and meaning of them once you've done the reactions. Peace....
Good decision - THATS what you miss when you listen to those shitty live versions! 99.5% of the time, opt for the original recording as it was first released; very few exceptions.
So only hip hop? Not better than the sorry Rock genre that died in the early 2000's or the trash Metal that died in the 90's? But just for your information hip hop is the biggest genre in the world and has been for 20 plus years. But maybe you just hate black people running music. Haha we laugh at you.
