I don't like all these people talking about "I don't like R&B singers in the church". I don't believe in that. If you personally love God it shouldn't matter. Most R&B singers come from the church. Another thing is Ledisi isn't one of those singers that is NOT shaking her behind in front of the camera. Her music that I've listen to was inspirational. I enjoy both music gospel and R&B. Let's keep our negative comments to ourselves and pray for those who we can't help find God.
I love how caught up she gets when singing gospel!!! And for the people that are talking against secular artists singing gospel, please go read The Bible. Let EVERYTHING that has BREATH praise THE LORD. That meand EVERYTHING!!! No matter your race, gender, profession, species, belief. EVERYTHING! So let her be obedient because He woke her up with the same Grace and Mercy that woke you up! So shut it down! Because you all are out of order!
Ledisi is the REAL deal. If you've had the pleasure of seeing her perform live, you'll hear her testimony; she stepped out on faith and quit her 9-5, to do what she loves. Thus GOD has blessed her for being faithful.
I love hearing her sing this song. You can tell it is coming from the heart. I have suffered from the tragedy of miscarriage. It's been a really hard time for me. But I thank you lord for everything he has done for me and will continue to do. I know I can make it.
A real singer! So many times people support those entertainers whotuse every tool there is to assist them in singing. I love real singers, those who are able to sing a cappella and live without all the hoopla. Could have been me! Thank you Lord!

I don't really like yo' albums, but whenever I can watch you *live*, I'm there. You always match or go above and beyond what you've done on record, Ledisi. Yo' voice is everything and you just do things that give me goosebumps. You are truly gifted.

I love Ledsi her song just along is so motivation and spiritual and she is with the man up above the Lord. Even when she song be grateful dedicated to tramine Hawkins. That's one of my favorites. But it's so many songs of hers that's my favorite. Especially ones that is spiritual and talking about Jesus.

That's one thing I've never understood, why a woman couldn't stand in the pulpit. When church announcement at my old family church, the microphone was on the pulpit and the deacons or pastor made when standing on the ground to tell announcements. I remember one time, the pastors daughter was heavy set and couldn't walk down the long steps, so she went down the pulpit and he was angry with her. 😭
Baby who was at the Potter's House last Sunday was me and witnessed Ledisi put it down for Jesus!!!! You go gurl!!!!! The anointing in that service was RIDUNKULOUS!!!!

For only the things we do for you will last. Thank you Lord for not condemning but forgiving me and my brother and sisters who yet pass judgement on your ppl. This video makes me want to visit the Potter's House even more. It's amazing how GOD allows so many different genres of artist to touch us in the spirit with music. Ledisi has a true soulful artist and has the ability to connect with you in so many ways and to expereience the word of GOD from TD Jakes it a enough, however to give such a performance and usually they are offered FREE is incredible!!!! IT truely shows where your offerings go!!!
Well its funny that ppl talk about R&B artist singing gospel music but don't say anything when gospel artist are going into the secular realm. Yolanda Adams has done musical tributes for quite a few secular artist and let's not get started on Mary Mary, The Sheards and Preachers of L.A reality shows. The Manns are in Tyler Perry movies with cursing in it. We have to stop being hypocrites. This is why people don't trust church people anymore. Ur pushing ppl further out the door then bringing them in, and that's not God's word. Love for your fellow man is NOT suppose to have conditions on it.
Hearing this and finding it today has surely been a God given gift. Ledisi can sang. Praise the Lord.. Such feeling, goes deep. Her emotion is so deep. I feel blessed. Keep the Faith.

@IamKINDRED some folks so deep, you're drowing. Ledisi has a wonderful God given talent. And yes I thank God that I am able to listen to her sing this song and anything else that she sings and be blessed by her talent. It is a given for me that I am blessed by the message. But I think God is okay with us being in awe of the roses, the mountains, the oceans, beautiful art and Ledisi's beautiful voice.
Let's put aside the fact that she is a professional artist. And LISTEN to the message...if we didnt know her as "Ledisi" would this still be a "performance"????
looking at the comments that people made, is really silly to me how people judge her singing and not enjoying the song, and that she was singing for GOD, well on that note Thank You Lord, for giving me the grace to look past the people.
some of these comments are unreal about the church and secular music. THIS IS WHAT IS SO VERY WRONG ABOUT CHURCH FOLK. And, this why so many people will never really understand what it is to be saved. Because, we turn them away when they do something we don't approve of. Then they run from the church hurt because you extra saved folk done know how to draw people to Christ. Whats so saved about that?????

This song sounds just like the cd I have of her's. This is not spiritual at all. Not one soul can be saved by this music ministry. This is just awful! AWFUL!!! The screaming is for Satan, not of the Lord. I had to turn it off.
@MarionKing4life regardless of her anointing, I think it's important that she wasn't being fake or anything. I don't know Ledisi's heart, but I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt and say that she was being honest. and that's worth acknowledging... that's me.
