This was a song my dad always listened to. He was a U.S Army Veteran. He passed away from cancer about 3 months ago. Can’t help but cry whenever I hear this song.
Proud granddaughter of a World War 2 veteran this song makes me cry and is the definition of what my grandfather is. Passed 3 yrs ago but this song always reminds me of him
This song was played during my oath taking to be come a US citizen and it was emotional moments for me feeling that hard to describe. THANK YOU AMERICA FOR GIVING ME A CHANCE TO BE ONE AND I LOVE EVERY MOMENT OF IT. NOW I CAN SAY I AM VERY PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN CITIZEN. GOD BLESS THE USA!…❤
I am blessed and happy to have been born in this most beautiful country! This years I celebrate my 50th brithday and I pray for our Lord's continued blessings on our Nation. God blees America! .... from Fort Worth, Texas
@@jennerdomingo7905 - while I admire your futile efforts to piss people off, and despite how grammatically incompetent that was, I’m going to give you a lecture on the term “American”. The term “America” is not a continent. North America, and South America are continents, yes. There is a nation on the North American continent which is called “The United States *OF* America” and therefore an abbreviation of the citizens living in The United States are called “Americans”. Please feel free to make yourself useful and entertain me with how we have been misusing our civil identity for over 247 years without anyone catching on until now all of a sudden in the 21st century where everyone feels entitled to “properly label” things. I await for your response.
@@jennerdomingo7905 America is a country. North and South America are continents. U.S citizens are called Americans because the United States of AMERICA is their country.

When I saw the fires destruction in Hawaii and all the work it is going to take to build it back...this song came to mind and the book "Tough Times Don't Last But Tough People Do." Sending hugs, love and prayers and RIP to the ones we lost. ❤
Does this song ever get old? So beautiful... every time. I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today, against all enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC. Dear Lord, show us our enemies!
I know this isn't a song specifically about veterans, but I remember when i was in 5th grade an my music teacher played this song, ironically my uncle who was a veteran had just passed a day before. All i remember that day was sobbing so hard, there was snot all in my shirt from me trying to hide that I was crying, and no one tried to comfort me, not even my teacher. I miss u unc.. love you and happy veterans day.
This is very beautiful song. I never stop listening to this song. I played it over and over again. Every americans should be proud of this song. Everytime i listen to this song. It brings joy to my heart!!!
I was 14 years old when this song came out. My parents listened to country music, when it was great back then. I still get chills & choke up whenever I hear this song! I'm a proud, American Christian & so thankful to be born & living here in the USA! God bless us all & protect us during these dark times in America 🇺🇸 & around the world! 👩🦰❤🙏
Sitting here on July 3rd watching fireworks and I love listening to this while watching :) thank you and I am sooooo grateful. Thank you, everyone who served for us. We honor you forever 🥰
I love this song!! We have a free country and I thank God for that. He made us and this world for us to live in!! he died on the cross for us and we get to choose if we go to Heaven or Hell.!!
I am a proud American and I am so proud to be here and I am a proud gentlemen who loves America thank you for providing America thank you all service men and woman thank you for putting your life on the line for us god bless America
Thank you GOD for everything the world is everyone's place and I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me I love the U.S.A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ashley Hobbs we have a free country at the cost of others blood Not cause of our government or even Trump And we have to thank the native Americans for this country
I remember it too. I had no clue what I was singing or what I was doing when I pledged allegiance. They tried to brainwash us as children, to be indoctrinated into blind patriotism. I’m ashamed that it worked on me for a long time, and I feel a deep shame to be an American now, and utter embarrassment when the world stares at me.
America is a great land because of the people from all over the world who come here for freedom and opportunity. As a lifelong citizen here, let me say to you.... Welcome to America.
I sang this song when I was in kindergarten. This, Star-Spangled Banner and some other songs as well. Our whole class sang these, and for some reason today it seems that we have lost the love for our country. I’ve always said and stood by that I love this country and I am proud to be an American🇺🇸❤️
🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸 God bless Jesus4Life for sharing this sincerely heartfelt, deeply meaningful, truly stirring & profoundly patriotic song. God Bless the USA; our beloved UNITED States of America.🙏❤🇺🇸✌🙏❤🇺🇸✌🙏❤🇺🇸✌
Heard this beautiful song from president Trump rally and ever since then I simply fall in love with it and always sing along with it, such a well thought out and patriotic song, thank you so much Lee Greenwood!
I'm not American, but I can feel that any sane American would chose this song. Apart from singing praises to the Lord, there's no other song that's as beautiful as expressing the love for your country.
My great great grandfather was a Merien whom fought in World war 2 my family is very patriotic he died at white river jct vt veteran hospital this song has always been special to me
