Thank you so much for the measurements of everything! I like calculating and planning designs/decor/functional items according to the exact size!! This was very helpful
@@allysoncheney3453 Yay! I’m so glad this video was helpful for you. For a rug- it really depends on if you want to get one really big one and share it with your roommate or just buy one for your side of the room. If you really want to get a big rug for the whole room, go for it- but I would recommend getting one for just your side of the room. Size wise, I would recommend to just do one that is the length of the bed (85 inches) and the width you want (maybe 48 inches or so)- so you can get out of bed and not have cold feet on the ground. In my single room as a RA, I had a rug that was 94”x132” which was awesome, so maybe get that size if you want to share with your roommate? If you get one that big though, it is a bit tough to move in because of how large it is!!! And the bigger the rug, the more $$$ I hope you have a great freshman year, enjoy Lee! I loved it for my first 2 years, great proximity to the dining hall but it felt secluded enough to relax outside.
I look forward to coming here and stand here every year around this time because I do basketball and every year around this time me and my teammates come and stay in the dorms
The mattress topper I have and love is here: LUCID 3-inch Ventilated Gel... www.amazon.com/dp/B01H2OCWNE?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share For a laundry basket, I don’t have any specific recommendations. Just make sure you get a sturdy and large one! If you’re in Lee Hall, you’re going to be carrying it around a lot. I don’t recommend ones with fabric straps / backpack style because they will rip.
Thanks Day! My daughter attending this fall. I like the video and it was very helpful. Forwarding to her. PS, why the half suite and would the bathroom be bigger? Thx
Glad I could help out! Suites ending in -06 (206, 306, 406, etc.) only have rooms A and B because there is a lobby on every floor taking up where rooms C and D would be. Each floor lobby has something different, and everyone in the entire building has access to all of them! Unfortunately the bathroom is not bigger for the -06 suites. Basement lobby- kitchen and washing machines 2nd floor lobby- kitchen 3rd floor lobby- washers and dryers 4th floor lobby- kitchen 5th floor lobby- washers and dryers 6th floor lobby- kitchen There is no 7th floor lobby and no room 706, it is an apartment 8th floor lobby- printer 9th floor lobby- kitchen
Glad i could help! The desk measurement is in the video but unfortunately I didn’t measure the chair! The cushion is honestly pretty big- I feel like all cushions would definitely fit on it. It is a square cushion- I would estimate maybe 20”x20”
I’m not exactly sure- I got these: Amazer Spring Tension Curtain Rod... www.amazon.com/dp/B07T1PZNN5?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share because they are adjustable and they worked great. No matter what, if you get a curtain rod that doesn’t reach the 2 edges- get 2 command strip hooks and use it on either side of the curtain rod to hook underneath (so the hooks are attached to the wall- and you can just lay the curtain rod on top of the hooks) I hope that makes sense
How many outlets are there total in the room? It looks like there are two against the flat wall and maybe one on the side? Trying to figure out what length cord I need for surge protectors. Thank you for the video it was very helpful.
Good question- I would say about a total of ~12 outlets per room and they aren’t that spread out unfortunately. I definitely recommend the longest surge protector cord you can find- it will come in handy.
@@loriknudsen764 I think 5 feet should be okay- maybe wait until moving in, use the 5 ft one and see if it is okay. If not, you can always get a new one! I would recommend a super long phone charger anyways because it is always nice to be able to roll over in bed with your phone charging. But 5 ft surge protector should be okay to start with - don’t stress if you can’t find a longer one (:
Great and very helpful video. My son will be in Lee. He will be in ian 06 room and is at orientation in 806a and says it’s full suite not half. I thought 06 rooms were half suite?
Hey! I lived in 806B my whole freshman year and it was a half suite- so unless there was major reconstruction over the summer or we are not talking about the same building (Lee Hall at NC State University), 806 is definitely a half suite with only rooms A and B.
it’s okay! one of my favorite things about living in lee is the massive room size- so luckily you still have that- and actually you have more bed layout options! i lived in a RA room all last year (which is basically the same layout as 01D rooms) and it was great(: i just had to make some adjustments
