Hi Jonghyun. I came to hear you again. Do you remember me? We went to the same middle school for 1 year, then I moved to the United States in 2004, and I thought I'd never hear from you again. Time passed, I forgot you, you forgot me, blah blah blah. 13 years passed, to be exact. Then I saw on the news. "Hallyu Star Jonghyun tragically takes his own life". I had forgotten you for over a decade already. But the second I saw you on the news, I knew it was you. Do you remember me? You probably don't anymore. After all, we weren't even that close. But I still remember you clearly. Your bright smile, caring personality, strong will, incredible talent in singing, everything. I especially remember in 2004 when you were performing with your band at the school. Man, that performance touched my heart. We both changed a lot. I'm here in the United States, having buried my wife and parents who died to the pandemic, working 24 hours a day and going on forced diets to feed my 2 beautiful children. I would be lying to say I'm in a good place right now. I can't imagine how you must have felt. When I was attempting to enter my workplace, the interviewer asked me this question: What is your biggest regret in life? At that time, I didn't have one. But it was made clear on that morning of December 18, 2017. Not sending you a word of encouragement: that was and still is my biggest regret. When I instantly recognized you, I hoped I didn't. I hoped it was a horrible dream and that I would wake up. I still do. I've learned that God plays a cruel game, taking away the most beautiful angels to tend to his garden. Jonghyun, thank you for existing in my life, even though it was only one year. Thank you for every word you uttered, every step you walked, every beverage you drank, every stage you took over, every song you composed. Every breath you took, every doubt you conquered. Thank you for every breath. Do you remember me? You probably don't. But that's ok. Because I, and the millions of other people who were fans of you will, and we will pass on your legacy. i always listen to this song whenever im feeling down but the fact that jonghyun himself wrote this song with all the pain he hold all this time tried so hard to survive alone, telling himself its okay. it must be so hard for him, the fact that he's the one who need someone to comfort him to tell its okay and hug him, its really breaks my heart. It's sad that this is the song that comes to my mind whenever there is an Idol's untimely passing. It's also sad that fandoms unite only at times like this. I don't know anything about Astro but I am deeply saddened by Moonbin's passing. I'll always remember his eye smile. Hugs to all Arohas, to his members and his family & friends. Since day one, this song became my comfort song for everything. I'm still going through a lot, but a lot more than when this song came out, when I was 23. Somedays I wish I could just give up, but I have to force myself to breathe through things. Jonghyun left us, alongside Lee Hi, this valuable lesson. He knew. He knew blingers would need this confort. I know I find more confort in this song than in every other song I could ever listen. And even so, I break down in tears every single time I hear it, every single time I remember that performance, where Lee Hi doesn't find strenght to sing it all through, becase of such pain she was at the time. It's been almost 7 years since he passed, and I'm still struggling a lot. I want to cherish the moments I still have, but sometimes it's just too difficult. This song is here to remind me of it. Thank you, Jonghyun, for giving the chance of this song to shine bright. Thank you, Lee Hi, for being the voice that conforts me every single time.

After Jonghyun's death, this song became too painful to listen too. I deleted the song in all of my devices because it was too painful to listen too. After almost 2 years since his death, I am now able to listen to this song again. Now instead of remembering the pain, I have now accepted his death and would listen and sing along to this song as a message to Jonghyun as well. You've done well Jonghyunh, rest well.
