I am 53 years old and I grew up watching The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman. They were my two favourite shows of the 1970's and I would still watch them now if they were on. I have great memories of those days they were the best days of my life.
52, and agree. I just watched most of them on DVD. One of the best. Had a twitter question about if you were kidnapped and the star of the last show you had watched was the one who would save you - how would you make out - I had just finished Return of the Bionic Woman, so I replied I was all good. Some people had watched sponge bob...
I can't believe that!! But its true. These two were 70's legends. There is no way that i would ever miss a 6 Mill episode. I WAITED for the cold opening and then the classic title sequence. "STEEEVE AUSTIN... ASTRONAUT". It STILL puts the hair up on my arms.
@Warren Lightning I fell in love with the opening of Six mill. They dont do show openings like this anymore. They should. It gave it such an iconic identity. STEVE AUSTIN...ASTRONAUT. we all know it
@@roquefortfiles They kept us well busy while building a prison of bullshit around us. There is no such thing as moon-landings or space travel, just another hoax like the rest.
@. 😆 When did you grow up? I'm almost 50 and what he said works. You are not beating the child, you can spank or do a time out (without any tv or electronics).
Now they show stuff to divide kids from their parents and to cause arguments and it causes parents to have to compromise because they arent strong enough to sit their kids down and take on the rest of the world they think are their peers. Its all by design.
Met them in Salt Lake. Lee made my 13 year-old son's day by treating him so graciously. Lindsay looks amazing and is so thoughtful. What a sweet couple.
IN THE SEVENTIES I COME HOME AND TURN ON THE TV AND TO WATCH THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN AND THE BIONIC WOMAN I LIKE THE ONE WHERE THE SOME BAD GUYS FROZE HIM HE COULDN'T USE HIS BIONIC'S WHEN HE GOT OUT OF THE VAN HE SAW OTHER VAN HE PULLED A FENCE POLE OUT OF THE GROUND AND HEARL IT AT THE VAN CAN'T NO STRONG MAN CAN'T DO THAT
I was honored to meet and take a photo with Lindsay Wagner at The Palm Springs Comicon a few years ago. She was seriously one of the nicest and humbled lady celebrities I've ever met.
I was into superheros back then( I was 15),& these 2 were to me better than Spiderman, Superman& Batman.I think cause they were regular people, no costumes, but still physically special.in a large way, I got into bodybuilding of their cinematic influence.great series!
When the thumbnail for this piece showed up in my RU-vid feed I thought - wow - is that really Lindsay Wagner! And then when I tuned in to watch I thought, crikey, get a load of Lee Majors, isn't he a slick looking operator now (compared to a few programs that he's appeared on in recent times). They have both aged incredibly well, but Lindsey Wagner looks better now than she did back then, in my view. She reminds me of a younger, longer haired version of Diane Keaton from back in the day.
@@AO-dg8pf Yes, Lindsay is still cute. There was 3 pretty ladies that I loved to watch in showtimes : Lindsay Wagner, Farah Fawcett and Linda Carter. And later, growing up, I found that Jacqueline Smith was more beautiful than Farah Fawcett. She's got a real porcelaine doll's face, the cutest of the Charlie's angels.
@@CP-ms9cf nice to hear from someone else with similar interests.right now,I've just completed a three foot long dragster car with a cab designed and set up specifically for gerbils and hamsters and such.i can pull it like a wagon and they can go for rides and have fun.the first other version I built is motorized.i even constructed a foot long mini remote control snowplow.
I wonder if someday all of this bionics will turn in to something. I think that the two shows on bionics all the way back in the '70's will help people here in the 2000's. It could, you know.
As that one lady said, for me as well, Lee was my first crush, and as a young girl, Lindsey was a huge role model! So glad these two are still around and still helping us to relive the best of our childhood!
Lindsay is still beautiful, Lee or should I call you Steve one of my all time hero’s. I turned 50 this year and still recall my childhood being about the six million dollar man!!!
God....those days they were the best....six million dollar man....I was 9 yrs old then and got the T-shirt with the six million dollar man photo....I really really miss those days...I wish I could turn back the clock and be a 9 year old kid again ......love u both
Better than today I feel. We weren't closing off, using smartphone without talking to our families. Internet is a wonderful tool but I hate social networks.
More of a boys thing the six million dollar man, although my sister would get me skipping outside and I settled right in.Not saying I don't see your point though, kids today are stuck infant of screens too much.I'm 50 years old now,I loved it back then,to live in the big two back then we were really lucky and looked after everybody else.Hell, I have an elderly Irish neighbour, whom has a nice one bedroom council flat.If I crossed the Irish Sea from England, they wouldn't even give me a caravan lol.
@@rebeccaradford7982 Of course, cause you have the technology but friendship today is it real and sincere ? We used the home phone just for home works, we were so glad to join us going at cinema or playing soccer or playing dungeons and dragons. We were doing all together (a tant or a house in the wood...) And today I can see young people isolated and even when I see two or three kids together they use each other a phone or a touchscreen tablets. Maybe I'm negative and I can't understand this new relationship today. The technology today is amazing I agree but It was better before.
So cool! You are so lucky! She actually talks about her sister at the beginning of the interview. 14 years younger and the reason why she did the show!
I do remember Randi (we called her Randall in school) was very proud and very giddy when she talked about Lyndsay. I heard Randall moved to LA years ago to pursue a career in the industry.
Being a kid back in the early 70's, my friends and I watched the first episode and we were awestruck. When I got to school that following Monday, all, and I mean all of my classmates were talking about The Six Million Dollar Man. I soon bought a smdm metal lunchbox. Then after a year or two, The Bionic Woman came on and we were awestruck again. The next day, Wednesday, I got to school and fell in love with a transfer student. She loved karate movies, six million dollar man and playing with my army men. Anyway Lee Majors looks awesome. And Lindsay is still a knockout. Thanks for posting this.😃🍀
Is hard to imagine that time has a way of going by so fast. Lindsay was so pretty and still is and lee was a handsome man on the big valley TV show. Good times all gone.
Just watched the cheese classic bionic ever after . Maybe an animated series with these two and the speed racer team . Sound effects already match...I was stoned at the time
@@dapperdonny4051 Do you remember the Dean Anderson's voice who said : "We can built this man, we have the technology. He will be stronger, faster, better." And music theme started.
I'm a total beat head, and it always amazes me when I find out how many legends are connected with projects that I would have never expected. But then, I know a whole lot about nuthin'? lol
I've always been a six million Lee Majors fan. Lee was a bigger influence on me than football stars, basket ball stars, baseball stars and other entertainment influences. Love this guy. Love you Lee!! great job dude.
Oh I am 53 yrs old and I had a crush on Lee Majors and wanted to be as pretty and smart as Lindsey Wagner....you kept romance and decency alive....thank you for the memories and the journeys.....you both are always beautifully young to me 💖
we named our youngest daughter Lindsay.... she was the best role model and inspiration for us young woman of the 70's thank you Ms. Wagner My favourite episode was the one when she moved into the really old run down barn and cleaned and decorated it in 'bionic mode' she has aged just beautifully
I met Lee Majors at the last London film and Comic Con. He was so so lovely, he did not disappoint after the years and years of expectation. I grew up running in slow motion and pretending to jump off great heights (actually the bottom step) so it was a lifelong dream to met the man himself. He was, and still is, my hero and I'll always fondly remember The Six Million Dollar Man, and the Bionic Woman
Two of my favorite shows of the 70"s. Till this day I watch them, so sad how they never got a penny of all there memorabilias. Lee Majors seemed shy on the interview, compare to his role on the six million $ show. He and Lindsay still look great, luv them both. OUTSTANDING ACTORS !!!
Such two awesome people. She was and still gorgeous. Lee is one of my favorite actors ever! I really liked the bionic woman and the six million dollar man but I still watch reruns of the fall guy almost daily! Good stuff! Oh and almost forgot the big valley that I do watch here n there
They’re the greatest. I always loved those shows and have them on DVD. If only they made stuff like this today instead of the over teched out garbage that is just eye candy with no character depth or story. These shows had real characters, real depth and story and were fun to watch. God bless you both!
Iam 58 years old..both of them are my favourite tv show stars..they are really great..I wonder Linsay W ii still very pretty..n Lee M also is still handsome..i love them both..
I had the privilege of working with both these stars, and I have nothing but nice things to say about them. My very first job as an actor was with Lee in "Six Million," and I was so nervous that I flubbed my lines around ten times, but he was so cool about it that I actually managed to finally get them out. I'll never forget his patience with this now old actor, more than he could possibly realize. God bless you both.
@@user-ci1kz1cc6t I'd love to tell you, but with many wackos on the internet, revealing your actual name is the dumbest thing you can do. Why do you think people use fake usernames in the first place??
When I was a kid I went to school with a washing machine circuit board tucked in behind my shirt . I told my friend I was bionic by pulling my shirt slightly open . He believed me for ages 🤣.
I always loved them they always had a great Chemistry. Loved them on the six million dollar man the bionic woman and there movie reunions. Plus. I Also loved when lindsay guest starred on the fall guy. Although I Never saw owen Marshall counselor @ Law. Which was one of lee s series which I Heard lindsay herself guest starred which was there 1st experience together back in 1971 I Think
one of my favourite in the late 70s, television came to sir-Lanka in 1979,,i watched as a teenager , i am 56 years old now, and still enjoy watching this series,,
I was 9 in 1975 & these became my two favorite shows , other than the comedies of that era. They are campie now, but they rocked when I was a kid. Kinda like Lost in Space, when I was 7 or 8, I watched it in afternoon reruns & thought it was the most awesome thing ever. Now, it looks like kids filmed it in the back yard. Retrospect is everything. And Lindsay still looks great!
“The Six Million Dollar Man” and “Kung Fu” were huge back in the mid 70’s... needless to say, as a middle school kid from Philly, we were ‘Kung foo fighting’ and ‘slow motion’ fighting all of the time !!!
The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman were part of my teens, I love Lee Majors and Lindsay Wagner. I'm from Brazil is here these series were very successful.
Living legends of tv both on the same iconic show we loved lee and lyndsay and still do 50 years later absolutely brilliant times as kids to watch such amazing shows and the names steve austin and jamie sommers will live on forever ❤
Lindsay Wagner look and sound the same as when she was in her 20s - cant believe that woman is 70. What lovely hair too. & Lee majors look absolutely cool at 80. This is what healthy beauty is ... she look like our very adorable bionic woman.
When i was a kid i had the action figure dolls of The Bionic Woman and The Six Million Dollar Oh!! I am soooooooo happy and lucky to have grown up watching these iconic shows and actors on TV
I got the "Bionic Woman" Barbie doll for x-mas that yr when I was 5 or 6 & that was my favorite gift! I loved them 2 shows & I still watch them on regular local channels. 70s & 80s were the best yrs of all time 💪👍✌️
I got a Six Million Dollar Man doll for my 8th birthday....I was seriously into Action Man at the time but my favourite was my Bionic Man, I’ve even looked into buying one on eBay 😂....there’s a few episodes on RU-vid which I’ve watched and remember watching the same ones when I was a kid.....we’re all still kids at heart 😉
Wonderful encouraging words from Lindsay Wagner. And followed up by Lee Majors, as to young people looking at what really matters in life. Great advice from both. These on-screen heroes, are heroes in real life. Lovely audience moments with both of them. xx
My husband and I bought the dvd collectors box set a few years ago! The front opens and has the intro recording - “ We can rebuild him…..” A++++++. Those were the best days of my childhood. Thank you so much!
Wonderful interview! Delighted to learn more about Lindsay's spiritual understanding of life as a celebrity. I was a huge fan back in the day too! Thank you!
Life long fan of Six Mil. It is funny with Lee. He is not a very "Emotive" actor but he had a certain "Mystique" about him. When he did speak you kind of paid attention. He was kind enigmatic in the role.
Lindsay Wagner is a living legend, what an amazing actress and person, her bionic woman aged like fine wine, it's my happy corner I turn to whenever I want to watch something that makes me feel good. God bless her ♥
It got really Deep intellectually at the 11:15 minute mark. Wow, Lindsay's advice on "Perception of difficulties". A Great Life Lesson to internalize and Live by. Amen.
Because i watched their series, i was study how to make the camera trick used my father's JVC VIDEO CAMERA ... and it was succesfully happened.. Then i know it's really tired to make a movie or drama...we must hardworking...
