@@guypeate3628 he was around before June m Carrey..sadly never cracked America like Jim he tried. Something about Mary, 5tj element and mousetrap were his main roles, just never took off as an actor there. He referred his home comforts, so I reckon that's why..didn't like being away from home too much. His own sit com didn't take off either..shame really as I thought it was pretty good, but he was typecast as a goofy persona. He was happiest doing stand up though, and that was his passion. Never liked the limelight either. Very personal person. We think we know him, but we don't really. Think he liked it that way as he could be himself and still have a relatively normal life with no paparrazi in his face, so I think that played a part. Still with his childhood sweetheart and that's lovely in this day and age as virtually unheard of. She kept him grounded also . Family man at heart bit made millions of us laugh during his comedy years. Made it early, mainly in the UK and that was fine by him. He didn't like the big stage, was just happy to perform. Made him enough to be comfortable and that's all he ever wanted.waskt the fame, was making people laugh that did it for him. Be a shame when he goes. Love to see him do one final. tour..he has a fan base that would love to see him one last time.
"There's your reception, there's your waiting area but you have to make an appointment to see the Managing Director.... and no one gets to see the Chairman!!! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
He does them in such a. Great way though...not typical bigoted jokes , but ones we can all relate to. Always manage s to make him the clown though in the anecdotes, which is rare as most wives jokes they are the butt of them..
In my opinion that is what separates Lee Evans from all the other comedians. Try listening to his jokes without watching him. He is not half as funny. A rare gift he has what makes him unique is his actions and sound effects.
