Lee Quarry Mountain Bike Trails... WOW. A small area that packs a huge punch! This place is a playground for the big kids. You can go as crazy as your nerve allows. As it stands the red / black route is about 6.5km, this can be extended to about 18km if you link up with Crag Quarry.
As with the last ride at Healey Nab, finding your way isn't always obvious, some of the way-markers are a little confusing and sometimes you end up back in the same place. That said, let's face it, at 6.5km you're not really here for a big ride, more to play and session the never ending features.
It was windy when we went, and I believe it often is, that can make some of the lines feel very dicey. There can be a tonne of exposure, at some points your 1 foot away from a 20-30m cliff - twitchy bum stuff. Scott 'Big Dog' Harrison nearly came an epic cropper, not once but twice, on the same 'no fall' line - his bike went down, luckily he stayed on the trail.
If you like trials, drops, steep short descents this is a place that wants to be very high on your to ride list.
