Dan Dan lives with her stepbrother, Dae Bum, the ever-failing businessman, and her stepmom. Tired of putting up with them, she leaves home. Feeling down on her luck, she climbs up a mountain. Which is something I’ve admired about this character. And she said it straight-forward here…YG was the only who had the power to hurt her enough to be painful and break her heart…thankfully she still knew YG’s the love of her life and she had enough love to forgive and reach her own happiness. It’s going to be tough to say bye to both DD and YG this weekend. 😭

He has fought a lot of battles alone, including amnesia. She says she is strong but she cries and runs. She called off the relationship twice when he had amnesia she did not fight but called him a two-timer. She told him not to waver, but she wavered. She told him she would trust him no matter what but she apologized to Sa Ra and called it quits. She is strong in the end because she is hurt and angry at him. They both have been hurt many times. But love will win in the end.

Both of them had been hurt, but they both reacted/ responded differently in handling that hurt! There was no wrong or right way to handle what they were going through at that time, because neither one of them had ever taken this path of Love before and all that transpired on that path was totally new to them, therefore, they reacted out of their insecurity and trepidation, which bore a covenant of survival on both their parts, no less, or no more than the other! However, after all they went through together as well as individually, their hearts never changed which saved their relationship and afforded them the joy and happiness they desired and deserved!

I was glad that in this clip, Dan Dan realized that she had had enough! She was being ignored and pushed away by the only man she had ever loved, Young Guk, although he thought he was doing the best for her (he felt she should be with a younger man of whom her parents would approve; that she should follow her dreams in a new world, America and not be a mom before her time). However, YG never listened to DD’s heart or how she felt about their situation; he would literally take over the conversation and not allow her to speak; it was almost like what she had to say was irrelevant to him; like an adult scolding a child who wasn’t allowed to speak! Then when he wouldn’t hire her back as a tutor, using excuses and reprimanding her at the same time, while dating another woman, that was the straw that broke the camel’s back! Although DD was over and done with him at that moment, being the kind and understanding person she was, she was gracious enough to explain to him why she was leaving him for good! After her explanation, YG realized that he truly loved DD and explained it to the woman he was dating and the woman accepted his explanation, because she knew she wouldn’t fit into his family, because of the age differences of his kids! They parted amicably! As for YG, the realization of losing DD for good, terrified him, especially when he saw the heartbreak in her eyes, as she looked in the pizza window, only to see them toasting her replacement. He knew then, he couldn’t let her go! He also realized that he would never find another woman who would accept him for who he was and not for what he had! On top of that, his kids loved and adored her and she, them! He might have been embarrassed to fall for a woman fourteen years his junior, but she had proven to be everything he wanted and needed in his life. DD was a rare gem that he would never find again in this lifetime and he knew she was the only one his heart longed for and there would never be another!👍🏼♥️💚💜♥️😁
