I joined the Mayor of Camden, Councillor Heather Johnson who hosted a fundraiser on the grade 4 Olympic course at Lea Valley White Water Centre on Saturday, 20 October 2012, to raise funds for her chosen charities for her mayoral year: New Horizon Youth Centre and New Diorama Theatre. Both charities excel in nurturing talents of young people, giving young people opportunities and helping them to improve their quality of life. It is a fantastic venue and we completed four circuits, although I was swept out of the raft on the fourth circuit but rejoined the group after being rescued by the staff.
I recommend it to anyone for a thrilling day out. And a great THANKS to my wonderful individual sponsors who helped me raise over £200!
