Sixth and final part here of The Channon and Ball video show from around 1988. That week the duo talk about Super Leeds United and focus in particular on three games from the 1973-74 season.
Games Featured:
Dec 15th - Stamford Bridge - 40,768 - Chelsea 1-2 Leeds United - Jordan, Jones.
(Leeds secure the best start to a season record with 20 games undefeated. They went on to make it 29.)
Feb 23rd - Victoria Ground - 39,598 - Stoke City 3-2 Leeds United - Bremner, Clarke.
Apr 20th - Elland Road - 44,015 - Leeds United 3-2 Ipswich Town - Lorimer, Bremner, Clarke.

wafll, Thanks for this programme with Mick Channon and Alan Ball celebrating the great Leeds team. Enjoyable show with two thoughtful analysts-have good memories of the show on TV some years ago!

Thanks mate that was brilliant. My Dad is still mates with Norman Hunter and Eddie and i have had some stories from those two over the years!! Nice one.

agreed 100%. In fact you could say the billiards and cards games were revolutionary as well becuase he wanted to create a close knit, club atmosphere with England. And one of the greatest failings of England over the years has been the lack of close knit club atmosphere

The billiards and card games you could argue was something that was not part of a pro outlook to prepare for a game, but it worked at Leeds. However, the dossiers were part of football future foretold and Revie was being revolutionary in England at the time. So don't ridicule him for that - give him credit . In my opinion, players who went onto become managers who baulked against the dossiers should hang their heads in shame
