@@ossyable Yes he did, but it was after about 15 minutes, not 70 seconds. You might possibly be thinking of the first leg, when Celtic scored at Elland Rd in the first minute.

Initially, there was a "one city, one team" rule and the competition was only open to cities that hosted trade fairs. Where the clubs finished in their league had no relevance.. it changed after 1964, and the Fairs Cup was regarded then as the "League Runners-up Cup", with teams qualifying based on league position - The competition was organised by the Fairs Cup Committee which was led by FIFA executives until 1971,it was then taken over by UEFA and replaced with the UEFA Cup because the UEFA Executive Committee thought that such a major competition should be governed and organised by UEFA itself.. Leeds were the first British team to win it twice and the last before it chaged format.. in 1975, Leeds (2 years before Liverpool got anywhere near to it ) became only the second English club side to compete in the European Cup Final - a Final they were ultimatly robbed in.. Liverpool's domestic & european dominance only took hold after '75 - When Revie left for England the clubs directors looked outside Elland Road and the backroom structure Revie had built within it,and despite Revie's recommendations for continuity and to appoint John Giles they stupidly went for Clough and it unravelled from there - Liverpool kept it in house with Paisley and reaped the benifits - fine margins

The U.E.F.A Cup 1971 >>> Liverpool winning it in 1973, 6 and 2001, it had the league runners up down to fourth place and The League Cup Winners. I do not know where you get Liverpool's winning things from 1975 (funny thing is they wone nothing in 1975) in the early 1970s (I an NOT going to mention runners up in anything as that means You Lost) Liverpool won The League Championship and The U.E.F.A Cup in 1973, in 1974 the won The F.A. Cup, in 1976 they won The League Championship and The U.E.F.A. Cup from then on Things Just Got Better
