@@Kurotitan7125 If it were like Kirby, that would be very silly, stupid, and funny. If it tries to suck something up that's too big, it'll start to choke until it spits out whatever. Maybe it would be able to suck up smaller baby sea creatures to maybe eat? Like baby Deinosuchus's and Kaiweka's, but nothing larger. Maybe it could suck up entire seaweed beds and deforest the sea as well. XD I also don't know how a giant slow moving fish will be able to do quests, unless there were quests specifically meant for those fish to do. Cuz if they somehow get on land, they will have no way of getting back into the water unless there was a mechanic that allowed there to be high and low tides.
This really is my major problem with PoT, i really love it-but man sometimes i dont want to collect stuff. Passive growth doesnt even need to be that high, i just dont get why it isnt a thing
@@theanomaly4444 passive growth isn’t a thing because this game wants to identify itself differently than the isle. The Isle has passive growth, but it causes most players to stay in one area with decent resources and sit in a bush until adult. Questing in PoT and no passive growth means that we have to explore different areas and be involved in the world rather than just sitting in a bush. I like this feature because it makes sense for smaller and faster things (that are much weaker) to be able to quest faster and therefore grow faster. The larger and stronger they are, the longer it should take to grow. Otherwise we’d have lobbies completely full of Apexes
@@AnonRiot yeah i get that, but it takes an ungodly amount of collecting stuff to grow smth. You have to migrate anyway because of water quality. Quests could speed up the proccess or just be for marks. But thats just what i'd like.
I hope after this we will get even more aquatic creatures to go with it because the sarcosuchus and spinosaurus can also go on land, and the only water exclusive creature we currently have it a knock off plesiosaur. Hopefully after the Leedsichthys we get some more water creatures to go with it so the oceans don't feel so darn empty.
Well there's Eurhinosaurus and Tylosaurus that are both going to be added officially with Primordial Tyrants making a Mosasaur mod and a Sachicasaurus mod which came out today!
I’m not sure what the developers are thinking about as they continue to work on this massive creature, because doing quests will be a huge pain once you get to maybe adolescent/sub-adult. And even then, just a deinonychus takes up to an hour and a half to grow in official servers. Passive growth really should be set to the default game, because I’m sick of joining all these community servers with about 14 rules, and trust me a lot of the rules are extremely stupid and almost seem to be written by 7 year olds. For example, the Server “Aedis DeathMatch”, in the rules, it specifically says “Don’t not threat others” which practically means threaten people (it says that as of the 5th of February). And again, another server (TEUTONIC 1/2) legitimately says they have rules and doesn’t even display them, they tell you to join their discord *just to get members* and also just to read a few dang rules. LIKE BRO why can’t you just put it on there where the literal box says “Rules”. The developers are making so many wrong turns as of now, unless they officially add passive growth that DOES NOT TAKE 4 AND A HALF HOURS of your time growing with only passive growth. I understand this game is not officially released, and that it’s pretty much just entered Pre-Beta Testing, but without the community guiding the developers as every game does (Every game in testing, that is) there would be loads of undiscovered bugs and harsh glitches, and there technically still are. I hope to see this game become as successful as it can be, but I also hope the developers have a partial change in what they’re thinking and actively working on, because last I checked the last carnivore released was extremely dry and uncreative.
I could imagine filter feeding being an ability you use that replenishes your hunger at the cost of stamina or speed for the duration the 'filter feed" buff is applied. Perhaps it must be used in specific zones, or near particular AI. And perhaps it only works when you are swimming forward.
We'll probably have the revamped questing and combat update before this, so I imagine the new questing system will fit with Leeds newer playstyle. I hope so, anyway
Is tyrannosaurus rex getting redesign/remodel(more fat/bulky. better texture. And Having Keratin sheathes over their eyes and on their cheeks) example prehistoric planet and sue (fleshy field musseum) they should take inspiration of both for redesign/remodel
For filter feeding I think they'll make clouds of small invertebrates that deplete as they are consumed - visible as pillars or spheres of particles in the water at various locations. They'll be visible to predators so that the Leeds have to put themselves in a known location from time to time. I think adding a glow to the water would be visually unappealing, but maybe that's just me. I hope they also get a fishing metabolism mod so there's some flexibility in the playstyle.

They really need to redo the underwater map system to have tunnels for swimmers to reach all lakes like Beasts of Bermuda. Right now there is no point in being a fish Dino.
Thresher shark is a great idea! I want something that does some wacky shit orcas do. Like perhaps a drowning mechanic. Where this thing can just stay on top of your semi aquatic preventing you from getting air. Maybe even actively pushing you down. Also, underwater fractures? Sounds like fun? Give it the dash forward with heavy damage and bonebreak.
For some odd reason with the filter feeding mechanic, I feel like someone will attempt to make a modern day blue whale mod. Obviously it has no place in prehistoric games but it be cool.
Even if we had schools of fish in the game just for look, would be fine, if you could interact with them, like the flyers could go down into the water and eat then would be awesome
There are schools of fish and even a variety of freshwater and saltwater fish to catch on the Gondwa map. I like to fly around as thalassodromeus and dive in to catch them.
I also hope they will work on making the coast more habitable for semi aquatic so kai players have more to interact with, and the ocean can be explored by different forms of creatures!
Me personally, I wouldn't give leedsychthis a bite attack. A bit wierd seeing a whale shark or barking shark bite something, so the same could be said for leed. Instead of a bite, give leed a short dash forward able to hurt anyone in the way. I just think this idea would not only make leed combat very unique, not being a spam bite session, but also just makes more sense. A slap with the fins could be cool too. Maybe have a mechanic for the fins where over time you grow barnacles on them and they do some bleed along with the base damage. I always saw leedsychthis in PoT as a speedy tank, lacking turn radius, that would rely on a defensive but mobile playstyle. Instead of facetanking it would more so act as a battleship, constantly on the move and waiting for enemies to get in range to punish.
There is a colossal underwater ravine that almost encircles the entire map that's probably where you're going to be able to filter feed cuz Big Fish deep water
Leedsichthys is a very big fish bigger than the megalodon and it will have a filter feeding mechanic like it said on the website in the crowdfunding stuff and it should get passive growth because it’s really big, slow and weak but juveniles Will probably be faster but idk and the abilities you mentioned are a great idea like the charge and the stun like whales and since the juveniles are weak and maybe slow and weak it will be taken down by a tylosaurus, Eurhinosaurus and kaiwhekea and maybe spino sucho and sarco and it will be hard to do quests like deliver just like argentinosaurus on land but leedsichthys is in water it should come to the game in like 6-9 months or so because it’s really big probably the last one to get added in the game but there’s no eta for it and we have miragaia, achillobator, microraptor, rhamphorynchus, (hatzegopteryx ans Eurhinosaurus are next) and tylosaurus and the mystery dinosaur it could be a joke but hopefully it could be Monolophosaurus, nodosaurus, Dinheirosaurus, giganotosaurus or segnosaurus but again it could be a joke but leedsichthys is great like in ark in which I play and leedsichthys will come to path of titans soon! The filter feeding is going to be cool and I hope it works like you said and I am never going to fill safe in the ocean because in ark I was terrified of it and now it’s here so spooky. I could see like 2 tylosaurus would follow the lidisictus as it follows the food and that would be awesome to see. I hope they add leviathan to this game and megladon because those 2 would be rivals and giant menaceses
I would like an attack where it shoots water out of its back into the air which can hit fliers.i would like to see a tail swipe where it can use it's tail to go out of the water and slap things....I would also expect some sort of instant kill attack where if ur swallowed by this dinasaur it's slow ... I would like to see rexs getting a crushing foot where it can damage hunkered down anos...I'd like the rex to get an animation where it stamps the ground scratches the trees with its body... Proper blood animations, wounded animals, disease, body regulation...such as bathing, resting under trees.... These would be nice things ....collecting bonds from particular animals to build skeletons is good too
Megalodon is larger than leedsichthys you used an outdated size chart. More recent estimates put megalodons max size at 20+ meters Still a nice vid btw 👍
I feel like they should have of added 2 more aquatics at the same time as the Leeds that way it would automatically be a way of getting players I'm the water almost immediately so when the LEEDS arrives you're not just a big behemoth swimming alone on the server in the ocean because let's be honest the Leed is to big to be in the land water regions for example it could never get to hunters thicket 9r marshlands it will forever be alone on the outskirts with no entertainment and we all know no player that is a land dino will try waste their time stepping into the water to kill a Leeds since obviously once their stam runs out it will be a long swim to shore😐so NOONE IN THE OCEAN AND NOONE COMING INTO THE OCEAN you will literally become the legend of the wandering fish that lived and died alone🤣

@@jordanapgar8907 the habitat and timezone thing sure, being an oceanic nocturnal predator is certainly unique, but eurhino and ophthal definitely overlap in prey species tho. Eurhino would be going after rhe same prey as ophthal, being fish and other sea baring AI. I can definitely see the uniqueness in nocturnal oceanic tho
i think noone will play it you can not get if over the waterfalls to the other dinos plus the other semi aquatic can not drink salt water which is dumb since some gators can. Its gona to become boring just like the nessy is. they need tomake the map with waters to the center just like bermuda game.
