Wendy was born in Korea. She went to Canada when she was about 10, to study. She went to a private school in Minnesota for middle school. She moved back to Toronto for high school. Right after graduation, Wendy moved back to Korea to be a trainee with SM Entertainment. She debuted 2 years later, at age 20, with Red Velvet. Thanks so much for this reaction!💙💙💙

She really elevated that first song she covered; her rendition is way better than the original. Her micro-dynamics is very impressive. I think playing woodwinds helped develop her amazing breath control. Also I noticed just now the look on Lee Mu-jin's face at 39:31, like "Did I do well, noona?" 😊Lee-Mujin Service is a pun on "limousine service" (thus the set design) and a feature of the show is the semi-impromptu singing of some verses (here "Moon of Seoul" and "Love on Top"), aside from the planned, full-length covers. Guests include not just K-pop idol singers but also balladeers, singer-songwriters, even some hip hop artists. Wendy went to Canada with her sister in the middle of 5th grade (she was 11). Her family lives in Toronto now. As a person, Wendy is known as a very hard worker and for her humility and generosity. leemujin is not really a kpop idol or anything. he's a singer songwriter. pretty new on the scene (born 2000, debuted in i think 2019/20). his first song (traffic light) was a massive hit, charting at number 1 in korea for like 3 weeks straight. well respected as a musician for his crazy tone and technique, but at this point is probably more famous because he hosts this show. he does a duet with a different artist every week and they're all fire, which is nuts
I can definitely tell he has some knowledge, especially when he was taking about breathing techniques, and his music knowledge. But that’s really cool that he gets to host a show like this. Especially when he essentially has a free duet lined up with guests. That’s pretty cool. Thank you for the information

Seems like you're a chill guy just enjoying music just like me lol, so you deserve a sub from me :) I have been lucky enough to hear this woman (and her group) for the past 6 years and I even searched to see videos of her pre-debut (before 2013) and she was just so damn naturally talented !
