A big Thank you going to you Mary Beth. I have only been watching your videos for a short while. I have picked up so many helpful ideas to use on my own dogs. Even got over my fear of trimming nails now that I use the dremel. You keep being you and doing what you do. You treat all your grooming missions with care and compassion for the animal

You know I find it hilarious anyone would think calling a dog stinky is degrading it. Even if dogs could understand English they would take it as a compliment. It is common knowledge dogs loves being stinky and rolling around in stinky things.

I don't understand why someone would complain about you saying something about the smell. It could mean either the dog could be just dirty or the smell could be an indication of a potential health issue. So explaining about the smell is important.

This isn't a newly recorded video. She's dealt with a lot since then as a solo groomer in the van and the new physical location. Plus the trauma of getting bit while trying to help animals in poor conditions. And then there's the challenges of being a single mom as well as home-schooling.

MaryBeth - The owners should be embarrassed - and they should feel guilty. They don't deserve to have a dog if they neglect it the way this darling dog has been neglected. Making excuses for people only enables them to continue this behavior. Someone must have been feeding him. He would be in poor health if left alone for 3 weeks without food and water.

I don’t get why people are so sensitive to what you say. If the dog stinks, it stinks! If the dog is fat, it’s fat! 🤣 I feel like I’m there while doing the groom and I appreciate all the comments and things you say to give the full experience grooming. I thought I wanted to groom as a side hustle but I realized I can’t handle the condition of a lot of these dogs.

She is saying that if she comments on such things as weight OR smell, (for ANY dog as it applies) it's only so we can experience what she does, it's not to disparage a dog or its owners. She did not say THIS dog is fat because he's not.

I wish you wouldn't be so rough in their ears I wish you would wipe the outside of the ear and then shove it way down in there. I wish you would reassure them more in a calming voice throughout the whole groom. I am thankful that you are there to help these poor animals though.

Depending on the weight he started at, he will look diffrent, he could be suffering from physical issues from it we simply dont see because he was even more overweight at the start.

Maybe there was no food bowl present for the dog, with the original owner is because they were trying to help him lose weight!He was probably given portions instead of free rein to eat when he wants.He definitely was not starved.There is always two sides to a story.Also,you could have left his tail a little bit longer in my opinion.

This dog looks like it was left in its cage to be covered in urine and feces, no doubt with a bit of food and water initially to be able to poop and pee on itself, but after 3 weeks after eating everything at first, was waterless and food less.. sitting in urine and poo.. poor thing. Look’s elderly 😢

You should always have the pet strapped up while they’re on the table!! Never squirt flush directly into the ear like she’s doing here with that force of a nozzle!!! It should be a gentle flow with massage and again after bathing. Don’t spray soap directly into the face and eyes! Safety first. She needs Vet Tech training. This dog needs to see a Veterinarian.
