It makes my day when I see a notification that Karen has posted a video! I not only watch the video for the great lesson, I watch it to see Karen. She is a wonderful, beautiful lady with elegance and fun. I could listen and watch her all day. It's a pity she lives on the other side of the pond 'cos, I'd love to have met her in person. My wife too thinks she's amazing. Ya just know in life as you get to your 50s who is a genuine person. Karen certainly is. Thank you Karen. Please post more and more and more ;)
You are an awesome instructor. Have not touched a piano for close on 35 years since leaving school. your methods are so much easier to understand and so logical. God bless!
Alicia, I'm in the same boat - haven't touched a piano in over three decades, just starting up again. I'm finding a lot of people starting up again in their 50s, 60s, and older. I suspect if I'd had a teacher like Karen Ramirez I would never have stopped playing in the first place!

Love your attitude....kind of 'fake it till you make it'. I wish I had found a piano instructor like you when I was starting out. I tend to play bass inversion chords, and never felt that I had a decent style for any genre, then started to add the sevenths as a way to smooth the transitions. Still not great, but it works most times.
