-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.

-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.

-How much yarn do I need?
Unfortunately, I will not be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.

I am retired from work as of last year. I have been teaching myself how to crochet. Today I have succeeded in starting a ripple stitch table runner after viewing your RU-vid video. I am left handed with no one else to show me how. Your video was excellent, thank you.

Thankyou from a left handed person i just did this ,And this is my second double blanket i made and i put 3 single stich of each colour round the edging of my blanket , A double blanket size and love it

This is so wonderful! I have always wanted to learn because my mom made such beautiful things, and the warmest blankets in the world, but it was so hard trying to follow her when I am left-handed. Love the way u make ur tutorials, and love ur voice, thank you for making them left handed, i had a hard time learning when i was a teen, my Mom was right handed and it was hard for me, but i did learn and so glad i did !! and i am so much like u, i knot my work too, don't want it to come undone, love crocheting!! Thank you for this tutorial. Your instructions are very clearly shown and explained, and I especially appreciate the tips fot the first stitch and last stitches of each row! Now I won't feel like I am guessing where to put that first and last stitch!Very thankful also for left handed tutorials.

Love that you share left handed videos! Absolute game changer. Being new to crochet I have no idea how to guesstimate how much yarn I need to purchase in order to make this blanket for a baby. Please help

Thank you, I'm glad you find my videos helpful! 😊 It can be really difficult to say how much yarn is needed as it depends on your own personal tension, but as a rough guide I would suggest that 350g of DK weight yarn, with a 4mm hook, will be enough to make a small to medium sized blanket.

I cannot find the pattern anywhere on your site! I am making a full sized blanket and some how got lost.. now I’m having to start over because I cannot find written instructions anywhere... once I have the pattern down it will be easy but I’m pretty much still a beginner and while I learn best from videos I prefer to look at instructions if I am not also doing a sample size. I would keep that in mind of future videos...
