Is it still 6 volt Positive ground ? If it's still 6 volt positive ground then it's red to negative black to positive ." It's backwards from a newer type 12 volt system ". You could boil the battery , burn up the instrument gauges, condenser in the distributor, any lights . If you hook the charging cables up wrong . I would change it over to 12 volt neg ground .Cool tractor ! Good luck

Two cylinder called (Johnny Popper) round thing with one flathead screw is timing mark, other round thing is breather for hydraulics, most important is to clean points and spark plugs, change oil, Oil filter is big round thing with bolt on top (paper filter), look for water in oil, good luck EA

Can't beat a Deere. I bought a unstyled model A at auction. It had metal wheels. I found a set of wheels and tires. The guy that had them wanted a tractor like I had. So I doubled my money and sold him the tractor. You are about like me a bunch of projects that move ahead slowly.

Did you fix the choke rod on the bulldozer ? The choke was flying shut causing the engine to stall Cool crawler !
