My third compilation of abandoned places left to rot following on from We are the forgotten and The Forsaken. To all the people asking where this place is, this is not just one place but many different places in a compilation video.
Astonishing! I hope that everyone who sees this understands the importance of making sure that our valuables be considered when the time comes and we won't be able to use or protect them anymore. Antiques, antiquities and very old or rare books and artwork should all be repatriated or gifted or sold to people who will continue to appreciate, protect and do the same thing for them someday with instructions given to pass on the request that these things be protected from disposal or loss someday in the same manner.
From what I see, roofing repair and window replacement would save this place, and wherever it is, this house, which incorporates a lot of unique art and craft, should be saved as it represents a national treasure, wherever it may be. Thanks so much for this exposition of real beauty in repose
How stunningly fabulous ! How weird yet wonderful that there was no vandalism ! Id loved to have had some close ups of the papers, sheet music and books.Thank you so much for posting this
Just love these pictures and music. The serenity, clarity, quality.Professional done. Can be used as wallpapers.Art. Every day i look at these beautiful clips, and my fantasy bloom. Lost in the past of other peoples lives for awhile. And drifting away.
this is amazingly beautiful . those doors, windows, art, woodworking is beautiful..I bet there is loads of lead paint and stuff in there and would cost a lot to fix it up
When I see places like these, so many beautiful details, so much space, and I think of all of the personal tragedy in the world, then I begin to really puzzel about the value of money and posessions. It is as the Bible says, all dust and ashes. But what a beautiful illusion! It is more important that you love others than just emass money and things because in the end, they all go the way of everything else on this plane of existance.
For all of us asking "where is this?" Michelle finally answered this one guy a year ago ......... .... she said .................................. "This is not one place but a compilation of different places all abandoned and left to rot."
There is a kind of moral around these forgotten and abanded places, because it once was somebodys home, joy and life. I dont se how anybody besides family, can take over these old homes, lieve them to go just like their owners left.....
Often taxes are the reason these homes are left to nature. Property taxes, inheritance taxes, in addition to the cost of reroofing these homes just isn't worth the effort by most. I see the homes of the ultra wealthy and often they are quite modern and easy to maintain. Such homes as these takes a large staff. I really appreciate Michelle Stone's photography, taking in all the beautiful elements, this in contrast to urban explorers who are more interested in objects than the rooms as a whole.
I knew immediately this video was of a French maison 1:27, the furnishing are of French design, my ancestors, Charpentier, on my father's side of the family.
