finch and josie literally did the nasty 15 minutes after finding out landon was dead finch doesnt know him like that but on the other hand josie does and im so dissapointed in her for it but i think that was a writers mistake tbh

The fact Freya is no where to be seen is the biggest plot hole in all of this.

I was upset that they don't even wait a few more episodes to make Josie's speech make sense, right at the beginning of the episode and Dark Josie leave with a simple kiss after all the progress that Josie had to accept herself

I low key wanted Hope to feed on Josie I feel like that would’ve been a iconic hosie scene.

things we need for season four -Josie and Finch breakup -Hosie -A storyline that doesn’t revolve around landon -Landon’s death where he actually stays dead (sorry if that was dark but we need it lol) -More of hopes independence -A proper storyline for Kaleb -Weird mystical creatures gone (examples Wade and him being a fairy, Kaleb and his now being a dragon etc..) -One of the twins become heritcs???

Hope didn't actually turn it off. It happened automatically since she was in transition while commiting a trauma act. Hope said it during her conversation with Alaric.

I wanted them to have hope turn her humanity off because she couldn't handle all the emotions of being a tribrid and all of that but instead we got landmark taking all of hopes development as her OWN person once again 🙃 fire bret atp

NOT THE "josie you are sleeping in the dog house tonight"

I can't believe that Brett Matthews (showrunner) described this as "Josie's journey to independence" and "figuring out what she wants". Everyone Josie's had a relationship with left her at one point, starting with Penelope and ending with Finch. Cause that's exactly what Finch did in 4x02 after finding out about the Merge. In 4x03 Josie's made a huge step in her development by standing up for herself and breaking up with Finch. She started respecting herself only for that to be taken away in 4x04. By asking for Finch's help with the spell instead of anyone else's she took two steps back in her development, she threw her self-respect out of the window. She doesn't want a person who could leave her any moment, she wants someone who stays no matter what. Finch is someone who leaves when things get hard. Also, why did it have to be Finch to reach Josie? I would've accepted literally anyone else to pull her out, preferably Lizzie or Hope. Plus the whole having sex part after rescuing Cleo, seriously?! Josie just received the information that Landon, her ex-boyfriend, is 'dead' and Hope is still missing. But instead of trying to find her best friend and trying to help her cope with the fact that she had to kill her boyfriend, Josie hops into bed with someone she broke up with out of self-respect just the day before.

the writers need to start writting their character, especially Hope, as more than one half of a ship. In TO Hope of made to be "the greatest witch of all time" and in Legacies they reduced her to a girl obsessed with a guy and make everything she does about him. In my opinion they complete ruined Josie entire character development from season 2 and 3 with the whole Finch bringing Josie back from her dark self . In season 2, dark Josie was made out to be this huge deal, that only Josie herself can defeat and was about Josie accepting that part of herself and now dark Josie disappear after being kissed by a girl Josie has known for what? Month at best? Makes zero sense. Plus one episode you have Josie finally putting her foot down and standing up for herself, only to come running back to Finch the next day.

10:29 she would have done this in the originals after her parents died if she was a vampire then it’s not about Landon she had to relive the memories and emotions of everything that’s happened in her life and Landon was just the finale thing to break her heart

Well, in terms of Landon and hope, I’m as tired of it as everyone else. However, Landon has been such an integral part of the show, just because we are tired of him doesn’t mean we can just erase his existence and what he means to people. It wouldn’t make sense for her to kill the only boy she’s ever loved (so far) and not turn off her humanity. She can’t feel the way she does and lose as many people as she has to not turn off her humanity when she lost such an important person by her own hand this time. As annoying as it is, they need to slowly ease Landon out of the plot. (If he’s actually dead) and let Hope really truly understand what life is now with all these new changes. Him being gone for good, her killing him, being rid of malivore, being a tribrid, etc. We can’t just expect them to erase an entire character because they are annoying. Matt was alive and present for every episode of TVD, so if we didn’t get our wish then, we sure as hell aren’t getting it now. But I can see as season 4 comes to an end, Hope, Lizzie, and Josie are gonna go through so much and change so much. There is still so much time for what we want to happen. We just need to be patient and let nature take its course

This was an outstanding episode...for about the first 30 minutes. Then nothing was consistent whatsoever about the character decisions. Stop forcing Jonch, it's exhausting and should have ended after last episode permanently based on Josie's speech. Landon needs to go tf away.

They really messed with the storyline timewise in legacies. Technically, if you follow the timeline, Hope is supposed to be nearly 21 in season 4. Originals ended with her being 15, they had a theoretical 3 years pass between that and legacies, and each season is supposed to be a year...
