A seventh son of a seventh son is a folk hero with mystical powers. But there has never been a female equivalent with a stories (novels, films, or tv series) until Cleo.
Can I just say that the fact that all her spells are in Yoruba is just so nice to hear? As a Yoruba girl, understanding what she is saying in my language is so cool.
@@Marcy.ೃ there's quite a few things, but basically they inspire. They give people ideas that will actually help them, like she gave malivore the idea of having a vessel and he's been chasing it even since. They kind of give you the answers to your problems indirectly
@@Marcy.ೃ so basically a muse is the 7th daughter of a 7th daughter, that has the rare ability to inspire people with ideas. The hand of a muse glows yellow when using her witch powers, and their eyes glow yellow when inspiring others. Apart from this inspiration magic, muses are normal witches.
She's no ordinary standard witch. She may have lost to aurora in a 1v1 but shes a very old vampire, we also saw that when cleo fought hope she was able to teleport and kill her and we all know that teleportation is a very hard and advanced thing that most witches aren't able to do.
@@AshEquinox I think they meant it in the sense that apart from her inspiration she has the standard ability every witch has. Not that her power is standard, but yeah I agree Cleo is extremely adept in magic and after Hope the most powerful Witch in Legacies (imo). I means as of now (4x16) she is an Oracle on top of being a Muse and a Witch. She’s kinda OP.
I think cleo is also capable of creating life instead of just golems, for when the leprechaun had green blood, that must’ve been proof. If only there was one more season, we could’ve seen more of her fury powers.
It’s really just an overall problem with the show itself, it doesn’t really feel like the tvd universe with all these sparkles and lightening and glowing hands
My lovely Pisces Cleo and Scorpio Hope. Love you both! And they're together in many scenes which is shocking for these zodiacs, like cancer and pisces etc... .. .love Cleo sacrificing nature and heart as I'm pisces and Scorpio moon too. 🐬🐬♓♓🦂🦂🦂🙏🙏
I love her character so much. The actress however is of Igbo origin, I think they should have made either the character Cleo Igbo, or they should have hired a Yoruba actress. My husband (who actually is Yoruba) could barely understand the scenes where they talk Yoruba. It was quite the same for him as it is for me when an American actor acts as if they are Dutch, me, who is Dutch, can barely understand what they say then. I think the American movie industry should try and cast better. When someone is portraying a Dutch, hire a Dutch. When someone is portraying a German, hire a German. When someone is portraying a Yoruba Nigerian, hire a Yoruba Nigerian. When someone is portraying an Igbo Nigerian, hire an Igbo Nigerian. When someone is portraying a Japanese, hire a Japanese. You get better results with that, more convincing. Especially since whatever is made in America, also comes on TV in other countries around the world. An American might be convinced that Cleo is speaking Yoruba at some moments. But Yoruba people will instantly know she's not Yoruba.
@@Rev4mpz it’s not the main language of Nigeria. Nigeria has 3 main languages: Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba. But has countless other languages and tribes coming in the hundreds.
@@squarcircle2254 it’s still the main spoken language, just because there are others doesn’t mean it’s not the most spoken… I know it’s not the only one.
Its a different Ferryman, the Ferryman in Limbo is a separate one (the real one) whereas Cleo just made one based on mythology without all the true powers.
@@Aso_official wdym “🤨🧐” Cleo is from ancient Nigeria, so the magic she practices is obviously ancient Nigerian magic known to her coven. Also I’m black so I didn’t mean it in a racist way, if that’s how you interpreted it.
