Amazing career. I remember you. Dissip at the Gym in 1989. 5 Sqn Flight 1. Cpl Bate was our instructor. Also a great friend of mine was Col Picketh. I left the SAAF in 2004 as a Major.

Hello Mornay. Weet nie of jy my nog kan onthou nie. Ons was saam op AFB Pietersburg in 1991. Ek was 'n 2nd luit. Ons het elke Vrydag Spur toe gegaan in jou blou Ford. Man on the Moon was ons song. Hard gesluister in jou Ford. Was n Escort as ek reg onthou. Wat was die sersant se naam??? Hy het altyd verdwyn as die rekening kom. Flippen hel nou vat jy my na baie lank gelede. Ons het baie geoeie tye gehad. Kan nog vir Brits onthou. Die man met die GTI en die lang man??? Die coloured korporaal wat ons moes uitbyl paar keer??? Die AWB honde sersant. Laat weet as jy die boodskap kry.

Bliksem, dis goed pm van jou te hoor. Ja, dit was my wit ford escort. Sers Dijksman het later AO geword, Kpl Peyper was die lang man. Sers Ben Fouche was die ou oom, hy het later afgteree. Kpl Tommy Salem was die Kleurling Kpl en het later 'n AO geword. Daai was een van my lekkerste jare in die SAAF, daai jaar op Pietersburg. Ons kan baie stories oor daai jaar vertel

Interesting interview, thanks gents. Always wondered about ouens who stayed on after '94, something i couldn't bring myself to do.. gotta respect a man who did SAI jl's and SAAF PTI courses not to mention the challenge of starting from scratch in a foreign country.. cheers
